I like the new models for the characters and the new house. But Sarah's first room with all the glitter was a bit too much.

i found amusing the reason to switch from HS1 to Honey Select 2....and then there is Lina that looks she is from "HoneySelect1.5 Weird Edition" not sure if it's wanted but she looks weird like HS1 and HS2 had an incest-baby with weird mutated features...

The switch from 1 to 2 was interesting but I feel that the characters need some adjustments to be closer to the honey select 1 form. I feel that a lot of characters got chipmunk cheeks (Luna and Alice) that definitely weren't there in honey select 1 and as someone above has mentioned Lina got hit the hardest in the changes to the point that the change from 1 to 2 was very jarring in a more negative way than positive in my opinion. That being said I actually prefer Sol's new look but maybe a good way to find some balance is to compare the two looks and find a better balance so that the characters are closer to what they once were making the jump to honey select 2 less jarring. The jump almost felt like getting new characters rather than upgraded characters. Also, I wouldn't mind Luna getting a skirt again rather than pants but that's just a very minor detail.
Overall story-wise I look forward to seeing where this game and the story will go. I would also like to know if you have to decide a winner between Lust and Love? If this question spoils the future story feel free to say so and not answer. Also, will we be able to explore outside of the house, maybe go on dates or other activities?

I like the honey select 2 characters. Posibly the worst is Lina, but I like it either.
I prefer the new look of Sarah, Sol, Luna and Alice. But I think the only one that really strikes me as the adaptation of the original (Honey Select 1) to Honey Select 2 is Sol (and possibly Sarah), and the others are quite similar, but not exactly a perfect adaptation (I guess it's hard to make a perfect copy, and I think the result is really good, at least for me). Lina is the most different character, she seems like a different character to me, and I think I prefer the original (but I like both) (The difference between the original model and the new one may be on purpose, like the absence of tattoos, but I really don't know). Well, I don't really care this differences, as I say, I like the new models, and they seem enough similar to the originals to me.
But if the Dev wants to improve the models to get closer to the originals, it would not seem a bad idea either.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes I also agree that the change in faces range from alright to just completely off. It's extremely hard to get the same look switching game engines and some things with HS1 are just impossible to recreate in HS2. Over the next bit I'll be taking some time to get things a little close so just have patience
And yes Luna's second outfit will be making a return. It just has a time and place for it and as the story goes on.. let's just say there will be far more opportunities for that other outfit to come out!As for the ending... While yes I have a 'true' ending in mind but I'll be creating 3 endings in total depending on your actions throughout the game. Also I use the term ending very loosely because I can honestly see myself expanding this game far beyond its current scope as I have so many ideas for the future.
Also something some people may like is that I will be adding an option at the start of the game to skip directly to Chapter 2. As there is only 1 character so far (Sarah) Who's choices in chapter 1 directly effect things moving forward so there will be a question on how she will lean be it Love, neutral, or favoring the Lust side of things.

While I'll admit I may have used her as somewhat the sacrificial sex focused character to appease the people on here complaining about not enough sex content... I always planned for a much more meaningful story arc to her which will begin very shortly. I know at least 3 of you here have gotten a small preview that is very relevant to her future story in the patron section of my discord but may not know it yet

I only see the mandatory sex scenes, I'm most in love route than in lust, and I don't mind wait for Alice and Sol scenes. So I've scanned the first and last pages of this thread, and came to the conclusion that the game is <6 months old, has released updates at a reasonable pace, but that a major graphical overhaul has already occurred? Is that all correct? Seems a bit OCD to this observer, but to each their own.
Was it settings, characters, or both that were revamped, and are the graphical changes generally accepted as a worthwhile improvement by the community, or have they gotten mixed reviews (mixed seems to be the reaction here on f95)? Just trying to understand the rationale behind dev decisions rather than jumping in blind.

There has been no graphical overhaul of old content, just the game has at a certain point gone from HS 1 graphics with some Daz moved to full HS 2 graphics, in an event the dev wrote in. Well if it was a plus? That is personal taste, i do think environments look a lot better, not so much convinced same goes for the girls for my taste.

I was just thinking during the house change scene, 'wouldn't it be funny if the dev used this to change models?' Then they actually did it...the crazy bastard.
Most of the new models look good but I'll join the chorus when it comes to Lina. A little too sharp featured and losing the tattoo is a bummer.

Redesign puts the girls deep into uncanny valley for me. Will see if I get more used to it in future updates.

Before any other update news, I am trying a better compression method to decrease the size of the game that I hope is ok for the vast majority of you, if people aren't happy with it in the future then I'll start offering an uncompressed version on the 1st of each month but it will be through googledrive download only as it will be in the area of 3gb's+.
As mentioned previously this update will be redoing most of the side actions that you a have unlocked throughout the game but in the new updated style, that being said everyone is still getting at least 1 main event this update
As I am doing a different update cycle this month, public release's will follow the patron early access of an update roughly every week as well. There will be B and C updates every Saturday on the 5th and 12th of this month, after that the next public update will be on the 1st as usual to allow for a much more substantial V2.2a update.

Side actions after reality upgrade:
Talk to has been renamed to "Ask how it's going". This has expanded into a multistage side event that will continue through the updates. First 2 stages are there to start with. Alice Hug, Kiss, and Flash have each been redone and expanded upon.
1 main event with her that will push things forward.

Side actions recreated: I have recreated Flash, Blowjob(Both swallow and facial ends), and cowgirl sex options. Her main event will continue in the 0.2.1b update but it will explain her changes and begin something that I think will appease most people that don't care for her character.

Sarah has 2 main events. The first one will begin divergence into her love or lust routes. If you followed a more love route in the first few events you will get one version of the event and vice versa for the lust route. Both routes will unlock unique side options.
Love route: As she sleeps until noon – you can join her in bed and sleep with her until noon. Moving forward this will allow more branching off actions as her story progresses.
Lust route: you have the option instead to smack her ass as she is sleeping. Again, more actions will branch off of this in the future.
Inviting her over at night also has two different versions depending on how her 5th event went(the first one for this update). Her 2nd event this update will explain some things as well as open up a new area. You can now also join her in the shower on Sunday at noon.

Very far off but yes... not main story driven but I do plan to have a world later on that will be entirely optional in the daz3d universe. I only scrapped main storyline plans for it after it the vast majority of feedback stated that it would not be welcome. Everything moving forward main story will be in HS2. Also I will be doing that at a time that I can afford to set up a 2nd pc just for daz3d renders as to not slow down progress of the main story because from experience those can take some time.

I think I either finished the update or can't figure out the next step in Alice's story. Whenever I click on the "continue" option, she just says come back tomorrow. Other than gaining stats from the talk options the only hint at progress was the "how's it going" option which just stated check back for part 3. Not sure if I'm missing something as usually there's a line that tells you that's it for the update. Other than that, another good update, always looking forward to the next.
The next stage of the event should begin once you hit night time. Looking at the code, I see I patched it in the 0.2.1b update... basically you clicked continue too many times and it broke the code to proc the rest of the event... I'll be uploading a fix for this in about 20 mins after I check to see if anything else got missed bug wise this build.

There please extract and replace the two .rpyc files in your LoveorLust /game folder.
This is to fix the bug that stops you from being able to progress with Alice after she tells you to come back.
I will be Re-uploading 0.2.1a entirely but in the meantime until I have all the download links fixed on the top post, please apply this fix.
For those of you who did not run into this bug, you should be fine until 0.2.1b is released this Saturday.
For an explanation of what happened:
The 2nd half of the event is supposed to trigger during the transition from evening to night the same day but if you clicked continue multiple times the value for the trigger increases past the point of it being able to happen. If you did an event that also reset the day so it couldn't trigger that night and then went back to hit continue again... Same thing, broke the code.
It was an oversight on my part, sorry!
