Last solution I have for you is to re-download and extract all the game files and try running the game again. If it still freezes, I don't know what the issue is.

1) uninstall the game.
2) go to this location and delete the folder name "Super Alex".
pc/local disk c/users/whatever your user name is/appdata/locallow/super alex
3) Reinstall the game.
It should fix your game.
And make sure your not using cheats.

It is my belief that the game will continue in future because, Alex's other game called "Amnesia" also has Elena as a young girl.
