having said that 1 month for typos and minor cosmetics between c2b and c2final? more stalling. like watching italian football in last 10 minutes while defending club holds 1-0
and redoing game because of more lewd content... in c1-2 original we had more lewd content. there is nothing more lewd even in text. we now have more teeny dialogue. don't forget all this rework was about more lewd content what leads us back to art: new art is very nice but it does not fit into adult game. it is more school setting teen romcom cartoon made for teen high-school magazine style. so it is most of dialogue
i've seen nothing up to now that justisfy why dev needs so much time to re-do first 5 chapters. it would be fair that dev changes billing from monthly into "per major update" at least until remake is done, because if this pace continues as it is ch6 won't be here before 2025. but she won't since this pace is because of billing

new art is good, still far less than previous, but it is not for erotic vn. as i said it is more suitable for funny high school rom-com than xxx novel. close-ups in rare erotic parts are ok, but overall is teeny-sleezy and female models are all far less attractive. gggb is good example. art is less attractive but it fits into xxx vn perfect.
ratings: you can't avoid seeing average ranking on imdb. and yes i'd like to know more about content i'm not familiar with, including other people opinion, simply for selection purpose - too much content but no time for trying all

BUT
if we are all ignoring criticism of something we find bad, dishonest, low quality... (i'm speaking here in general, so not necessary any or all atributes above apply on LC), we are not leaving any trace to other people who are coming after us to read what pros and cons are thinking about product and help them to pick one in pile of games we are having here.

imo, this criticism, not only through reviews but also constantly through posts, on this forum has special importance. because these authors, devs are asking you to commit your money for certain period for their work, to be their subscribers. and games and developers are changing through time. some start bad and improve, some start fascinating and turn into dishonest milkmen.

People here are offended easily when you criticize their favorite porno games, even if the criticism is valid(Inferior art, long development times, ect.)
Just like in football, when somebody criticizes your favorite team, fanboys go on the defensive and whinging about it.

There isn't any specific style that is fitting for porn novel. Case in point, Summertime Saga, literally top dog of porn VNs if you go by the number of people still willing to pay the devs, even after two years of doing nothing, is far more of a cartoon style-wise than this iteration of the Lust Campus.

Yeah, that's fair. But that's just personal preference for style, and one that evidently lot of people disagree with, so i don't think it can be said "it's not fitting" as if it was some sort of established fact.

i stand corrected... it is not fitting for me is more accurate
whoever (including us) whatever writes about art here or anywhere else is pure subjective opinion. lots of people argued that picasso's works are not art when appeared.

New art and slow pace of dev are 2 things. New art you like it or not, personal taste. But the slow pace of dev is more objective, and for a rework I think it takes too much time.

I did not find that translation problem elsewhere in the game - not even for Bonnie.
It was just half-way through a scene where suddenly there were minor problems that just as suddenly escalated to major problems, getting worse and worse until it was bad enough that I stopped playing.

The dev got irritated at posters who didn't bother to do even the most trivial research before asking questions that have been answered in depth many times, so they fired the old artist and hired a new one.

When I read the recent complaints I got curious and tried the "old" version.
You are right, the art there was remarkable.

I seem to be a minority, but outside the sex CGs, the old art was hilariously mediocre. Tom, my fav, looked so dopey haha. The character sprites are so much better now, and I love the close up comic effects, but that's just my subjective opinion. Wish there was more sex, as Tom's sex-forwardness cooled down.

I do agree complaining about it is a waste and either hop on board or leave.

yeah i think i'm done with this game. the slow updates when it's mostly a rework from their previous work (not something they start from scratch), another change of artstyle (i understand the previous one because there's an issue with the artist and the game creator. but what about the one from C1R to C2R?? feels unnecessary AF). and this right here

Yes art changed slightly from C1R, her pink top is less flashy and less bland
