Guys just a question...the hints/phone GUI part from Echoes of lust is still there in the Lust Theory? I started with S2E8 (came from Echoes S2E7) and there is no GUI in the game. Is my game broken or its just like this?

Your game is not broken, it's just like that.

By the seven hells, these are passionate ideas. :D

Yeah, that's a bad idea in my opinion, but if you look closely, that's also how TV shows are written these days. At the end of each season, the feedback are studied to know which projections are most likely to please. I think it's a disaster, creatively speaking. And on closer inspection, Icenton gets closer to the porn industry, applying the same scenario rules. Always and and even more visual, because it sells better.

I completely agree. The Mc lives in an almost idyllic family, and really has no valid reason to want revenge on them. He is his mother's darling, his sister Megan's best friend, who could, with Zoe, help him become a cool guy with the girls. And he could callenger himself to understand what has changed with Jess.... In short, so many possibilities.

No, or rather yes my idea of integrating the hidden scenes is not to let the Mc continue to make absurd and incoherent choices. In my idea, this would bring several possibilities to break this loop, and of course, to force him to face all the consequences of his shenanigans, in front of his family and friends appalled by the revelations of the acts of the Mc and his puerility .
When i play something really poorly designed, or poorly written, the cogs in my brain go into overdrive thinking about how it could be done better. Alan Moore said to read back books if you want to learn how to write better, and i see why, lol.

Yep, and it's why so many TV shows, are derivative nonsense with no charm. A Market driven Design philosophy means you will always work within the same formula as you pointed out, and that your constantly chasing trends, totally replacing the "human" aspect of the creative process in favour of data(I can do derivitive but it needs to have charm). It won't allow your content to stand out, as it looks just like everything else. It can work for a big company as they can afford to throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, but for an Indie Dev? way riskier. What confuses me though, is if this was the approach they were going to take, why go with the groundhog day bit? seems to make things even more challenging than necessary.

The way i see it, MC approaches the ppl in his lives, like a Player in a Dating Sim. They are not human beings to him, so he gives no fucks how his actions affect them, notice whenever there's consequences he's always worried about how it affects him? or even when their dealing with personal issues he only cares, if it gets in the way of him getting to rape/fuck them? Feels like a straight up player insert, which wouldn't even be that much of an issue if we had genuine choices, and he didn't talk so damn much(though ironically what he says, does nothing to expand on his characterization). sigh, I just feel like everything about his character is so poorly done, like they intentionally decided to make all the wrong choices in regards to writing the character. It's a genuine problem when i'm happier when he gets blue balled(which happens a lot), or righteous justice, or denied sex, than when he gets sex. Your audience needs to be able to connect to the MC in some shape or form, or it creates a disconnect with the rest of the narrative. From what i have seen on this thread, not many ppl actually discuss the narrative beyond the implications of the simulation, that's not a good thing. There's just so many other ways they could have done things to make things easier on themselves. It sucks because i do like the characters beyond the MC, it's why i kept playing.

I would be on board for your idea. It sound similar to Dreams of Desire, which had a similar MC, but not only had him reflect on his actions(he constantly though about how fucked up he was), he actually cared about the ppl in his life beyond just fucking them, then when the consequences came a'knockin' he was crushed by what he had done, and worked to redeem himself. It was a janky story but it had heart, and i respect that. This game not so much, but i'm hoping Season 3 changes that.

This game has jumped the shark at this point..best to end it and focus on Summer with Mia + develop a new game imho.

Overall still an enjoyable game and Jessica is by far the best girl (love the tsundere type)

Is Summer of Mia written better, or at least designed better? Been hesitant since this game has been so poor.

In my opinion yes. This game is focused on the reset gimmick so the characters and their relationships never really develop much and its more about trying a dozen ways until the MC finally bangs them. Now the dev is running out of ideas with the clone shit and its just repetitive

Summer with Mia is more of a normal story. It has two parts already and is focused on the romance with the MC's sister + other girls as well and the relationships progress naturally. I definitely feel more invested here

Instead they will end Summer with Mia, develop some new games and continue Lust Theory. Looks like the majority likes Lust Theory more than Summer with Mia.

How do you know that? On Patreon their posts seem to have a similiar amount of likes. Lust Theory had better art early on and hotter characters but with the second part of Summer with mia they have upgraded the designs a lot.

Also I don't think Summer with Mia is ending any time soon, the dev is taking their time and not rushing anything so far.

Inceton mentioned it in their live stream few months back. Lust Theory also gets most comments/feedback on Patreon when Summer with Mia gets just few comments every episode. And Season 2 of Summer with Mia still does have three episodes left, then it's the end of it as they announced that Season 2 is the last one for that game.

Interesting..its a shame but as long as the ending is not rushed in Summer with Mia I don't mind it ending with this season.

Lust Theory seems very shallow to me, not sure why its so popular (the girls are pretty hot for the most part I guess)

Probably because it's a more original concept. "Seduce your sister" games are a dime a dozen, but time travel games are pretty rare. All I can think of are this, Ripples, and Timestamps.

Dr. Vibes has a parallel universe/alternate timeline thing going on. There's also Time Loop NTR and Time Loop Hunter which also has seduce your sister elements.

But, yeah even doubling it up they still pale in comparison.

Your opinion. Here I am for Lust Theory. I like the sex comedy genre, by far. Summer with Mia is still, in my humble opinion, is still "meh". Just my 2 cents!
