No, It is just a safe about 1 ingame week into the game. The purpose is only to show there is something wrong with the way time advances. At that point of the story there isn't even anything unlocked on the map. If you are looking for a savegame with everything unlocked you have to look somewhere else.

Quest Log/Walkthrough would be helpful to avoid aimlessly wondering around.

Also a Skip time button on main controls would be nice instead of having to find tiny foot steps to follow into the bedroom only then to skip time by pressing on the bed ‍♂.
