I mean, story stuff will always be hit and miss with people. It's all subjective. People like this game for more than its rather generic magical girl story, even though this one too has some nice twists to it that you don't run into all that often, if at all.
So all in all, I'd like to say yes, but I have NO idea what you disliked about the intro of all things, so I can't answer that question.
Yeah, the next part prepares you for a math exam, and then the game really kicks into high gear as it starts teaching you about the wheat policies of Roman Emperor Tiberius.
Acropolis because if you're not educating yourself by reading about Cura Annonae and ancient attempts (wayyy before Marx and all the other infamous socialists & communists people toss around these days) at land/wealth redistribution and supporting war veterans, then drawing parallels to the land grant programs of America after the Revolutionary War, and the crisis of the fall of Rome (and wondering if we'll repeat that too), no worries!
You'll learn all about it from Magical Girl Celesphonia and Ars Memoria. You didn't think the sentient magic book's name just happened to be Latin, right?!

Dumb question but how do you make the Enemies actually do Lewd stuff to her? more often than not they just smack me a bunch

this only happens if the enemies have an icon with red hearts above them. when a gray hand appears along with the hearts, the next turn they will make an attempt to grab you and do lewd things

In addition of TheodoreBear answer, they do more through your progress in the game. In first dungeons they only do groping and kissing, forced blowjobs. From the Sealed Streets (chapter 3 if I recall correctly) they do vaginal and anal.

Do you have a link to the Chinese version of the base game? I am unable to register on eyny.
It's I think the biggest mod for Celesphonia. From what I can tell it's basically an enhancement mod for the game, It add alot new thing for Celesphonia from New Location, New and/or Modified Mechanics, some minor tweaks and many additional content.
It's honestly a bit of a shame that this limited to just CN side of the Game and we need to go through hoops just to play it in EN.
- (Optional) "Hopeless Defeat Mode", if you want to play this game in Dark Souls mode! No Rescue if defeated, prepare to lose everything you have...
