It's quite possible you may need to update your operating system as it sounds like you're missing an update somewhere.I have windows 10. I can open the videos directly, without being in the game. But not in the game.
"fix your permissions" How do I do that?
"extract the game on your desktop" I already did it did not work
"install K-Lite Codec Pack" I already have
First thing you should check before using Windows Update would be to see which version of DirectX is installed. You should, at the very least, have DirectX 11 installed, though there is DX12 available for Windows 10 (only through Windows Update).
So to check which version of DX you have, press and hold down on the Windows key then press the R key. That will bring up a "Run" dialog box.
Type: dxdiag and click OK.
After you've verified which version you have, now you will need to use Windows Update in order to update and patch your operating system.
Once that's done, a restart will be required, then you can try to see if MotH will load without errors.
Another thing.. if you use Citrix for working at home, that will cause errors with MotH as well. You can fix that by opening up a command prompt (as administrator). Type the following command:
CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe
DDLOCAL=ReceiverInside,ICA_Client,AM,SELFSERVICE,DesktopViewer,Flash,Vd3d,WebHelper,Br
owserEngine
Make sure there is a space between CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe and DDLOCAL
If you don't use Citrix, then this wouldn't apply to you.
