Doesnt seem so, either that or I dont know what you have to do to get to where the bag is. I dont seem to be able to get the pic for amy either.I THINK you need to go to the police station, sneak into the back, and look at her bag... haven't gotten there yet in my play.
This is true - for a RenPy game. This is a Unity game. So no saves in the RenPy folder!Save games on windows are also stored in %APPDATA% /roaming/renpy/<game designator>
Ah, I forgot about the dates, good catch. As for the emails, if you can't send a bad email, that's good. But where does it say that? Since rollback doesn't really work, I'd never find that out (rollback doesn't reset state). Now don't get me wrong the game has been getting much better. But it still has a long way to go. But the hint system doesn't help with the emails, as far as I know. So it should be added to a walkthrough. For those that are irritated by the slog.I agree about the fight part (no real game there - it's all up to chance. But I strongly disagree about the e-mails. You have all the information you need for them. I made one mistake there and I don't think the game lets you actually send a mistaken email.
I played the game for the first time with the hint system. It works, the only thing that's counter-intuitive is the fact, that you must go back to the aunt second time to unlock the coffee. Hell, the hints spell out how to achieve a draw in the fashion contest between Ashley and Sophia. Maybe it does the same for the fight, IDK, I used the old walktrough for it and for the dates. The dates are the thing that's the biggest luck IMO - the first point is from the initial compliment and that is hard to figure out without a guide.
Ahh, thanks for that. I usually don't play anything but Renpy games from this site (MOTH being the one and only exception). So I forget that it's not a renpy game, until something that's basic to renpy doesn't work. This is true - for a RenPy game. This is a Unity game. So no saves in the RenPy folder!![]()
Well, the old walkthrough works perfectly fine for anything the hints don't cover.Ah, I forgot about the dates, good catch. As for the emails, if you can't send a bad email, that's good. Well I'm not a spring chicken either. But the issue for me is I'd like to read what's on the laptop. My thoughts on searching the laptop is to look for anything interesting. I was pissed off on .82 when I couldn't read through the laptop (thrown out after reading only one of the three choices on the three selections). Just seems like poor game design to me. This guess what the thread is and search just for one thing, is a dumb mechanism for searching for useful information, in my opinion. All the problems you mention can be fixed if the events are repeatable upon failure. If you don't win the fight the first time, theres always tomorrow, etc. The therapist emails are the only ones you would have trouble with, because they aren't obvious when you get them wrong (or maybe they are? never tried doing those wrong...)
I can't agree on the laptop choices- 3 are obviously fluff, 3 are about her work problems with assistant, leaves 3 for main character. As long as you don't get a "game end" for failing, you should be able to work it out.
The therapist letters.... its situational. As an older American, I see them as fairly obvious, for someone trying to sound professional, helpful, but disinterested. I realize that my expectations about how a therapist would sound have probably been heavily influence by Bob Newhart, so it might not seem as obvious to someone else. I have no idea if a younger generation actually believes a therapist will tell someone "have as much sex with your (tenant) son as possible" when they are feeling conflicted, (heck, In another popular game on this site, that IS the advice "therapist" gives to the son about the mother). I have no idea how the translations sound, for all I know those are gibberish 1, gibberish 2, or gibberish 3.
Yes, you can't cheat for love, lust and so on points - it breaks the game. A lot. You can cheat for everything else you want. It's terrible you can no longer cheat in the cheat console. Ppl could play without cheats before if they wanted. Now the cheat console is as fucking useless as whoever made that change.
Well that may all be true. You do realize that SOPHIA wears the other bikini- and although Ashley modeled them, she could have had Sophia in mind for the bikini you liked all along. Or she doesn't buy either one (the ones they wear at the beach are just similar), because she has no money, but likes doing dress-up.
Yeah, there's cheats already built into the game, there was no need for a mod for it anyway. It's terrible you can no longer cheat in the cheat console. Ppl could play without cheats before if they wanted. Now the cheat console is as fucking useless as whoever made that change.
I don't mind it too much, since I like that bikini better anyway, but yeah, player agency is always a good thing.Well that may all be true. But if so it's not in the game as I saw it. But this game, especially, is based on some assumptions, that I don't really assume. I'm making suggestions and observations that I think would make the game better. But it's up to the author(s) to decide what he/they want done. But the less ambiguous the game is the bette, in my opinion.
I think that's nonsense. First all fifty pages of the grindtrough make it impossible to find stuff, if you haven't played .82 or before. Plus understanding the context of the original walkthrough is impossible until you've played the .82 or before game several times. I assume the game developers want the user base to expand and I know I'm tired of new users coming in all confused and asking the same questions over and over (who can be expected to read through all 1600 post to play the game). No software system is ever intuitive, until the user has had a level set on the approach and assumptions that the system was designed under. I'm playing this game only because I like the images for Ashley and I had some time to kill before Fallout 76 comes out. But it has some interesting ideas in it and I find it enjoyable when it's not being incomprehensible. Now I will say that I think .83 is a massive improvement over .82, but it still has a lot of work to do.Well, the old walkthrough works perfectly fine for anything the hints don't cover.
There are plenty of event specific guides that make it easy. One for each date, the email, the fashion show, the collectables, and so on. I have posted them in this thread so you can search here, or you can go to the walkthrough thread and get them there.I think that's nonsense. I really don't get why anyone needs the e-mail guide though, the only hard part is remembering the doctor's name. Just remember you are a supposed to be a doctor, a professional, so don't be stupid and say something like 'fuck your son', and don't sign your own name, don't call her 'mom', it's not really difficult. XD
Well, it could be that he knows of the place, but not where it is exactly, never thought to look it up before, but I haven't gotten there yet this time, so I haven't seen how it flows.@Faerin I have a minor thing for your work list (totally sorry man):
With the latest changes the player actually knows about Mom's workplace before he is able to actually get to her office via the briefcase part. That makes the search for the address in the phone for the briefcase step basically obsolete.
If a new user follows the sequence of current hints he/she has been already at her workplace once (due to the Angel storyline). I am not easily putting Faerin to workWell, it could be that he knows of the place, but not where it is exactly, never thought to look it up before, but I haven't gotten there yet this time, so I haven't seen how it flows.
