This game is interesting, but so far it feels very tedious and grindy(unless I am playing wrong). Increasing stats, yours and your slaves, is a daily chore of just clicking through a few menus. Quests are basically about hiring strong mercenaries and selecting the place you need to raid or infiltrate.

Am I doing something wrong?

No you are not doing wrong, and its fun to play, i have never understood meaning of Grindy. Thought you can also play it as any random adult game, buy all slave and fuck them silly and be done with game. I personally like to build something, feel like i earned outcome, building wealth, power, legacy

I, personally, view this as a crpg with x-rated elements. A lot like the slave dynamics more with the domination and BDSM play.

The game has progressed a lot since I started playing earlier this year with expanded areas, some added economic elements, expanded slave holdings, having a wife, kids, servants along with slave quests, main game quest and side quests (some finished, some still work in progress). The game is still in early stages, somewhat, but Grim has much more he plans to add.

Is there any other way to raise the affection of Household NPCs other than the spending time option ?

At some point, I can't grind Loren affection and happiness anymore, once I reach 70 she loses 1 point per day so spending time with her daily does nothing anymore.

Additionally I can't seem to get her affection past neutral.
1. fully upgrade the house. gives some passive affection gains instead of the normal losses.
2. fuck them. orgasms == affection.

I really think the weakest stuff now is combat, no tactics no options boring as hell

Please no. combat that needs tactics is slow combat. makes games grind to a halt.
I want to turn off my brain after a long day and enjoy some mindless fun. Not calculate every move I make in a porn game.
frankly, i wish for simple combat with an "instant auto resolve" button.

And you'll get bored of it super quickly. It doesn't need to be super complex. Just with a liiiiittle bit of tactics so that you're not just mindlessly using attack command on first target every time. An example would be:
- Kiting would be good vs melee attackers.
- Suppressive Fire on the other hand would do the same job against ranged attackers.
- Cover Fire would help your melee attackers getting in range safely and be more accurate.
- Hit & Run would let your melee attackers strike while keeping their guard up.
- All In would let your melee attackers bully ranged attackers, limiting their capabilities against everyone (or every other ally). Because trying to aim or take cover while some madman is trying to hack you to pieces with a katana is kinda tough.
- Ambush would be their go-to way to backstab melee enemies trying to attack another ally.
- Take Cover would let anyone (melee or ranged) increase their evasion and defense, possibly at the cost of not attacking (could be used by weakened allies to save their own skin, or by an ally at melee to aggro and tank).

See? With the inclusion of that system, both ranged and melee would have 3 offensive options + 1 universal defensive option. All are easy to understand, require little effort yet make combat so much more interesting and immersive. It'd let your tired brain enjoy simple combat, while at the same time avoid the pitfall of the "optimal strategy" that works in every situation. A good combat system doesn't need huge complexity in order to do its job well.

For the record, a combat revamp is planned. Technically, the first part of it (allowing you to take anyone into combat, with no limit on the # of mercs/slaves/issids in your party other than the 4 follower limit) is already implemented in the 0.8.1.1 Alpha. The rest of the revamp is planned for version 0.8.3. I am not privy to Grim's exact plans, but he did post a generalized overview on the discord.

"Version 0.8.3 - Combat revamp. Implement combat AI, states, special attacks, AOE weapons, etc"

So while you may or may not get a combat system that fits your preferences, depending on what those preferences may be, some more depth is coming.

I won't get bored of auto combat.
The purpose of autocombat is to resolve the tedium of regular battles or farming. The combat would still need instances where you can't auto your way out of them. Otherwise, there's no point in having an actual combat system and it should instead be some "procedurally-generated combat cutscene algorithm".

If what you're looking for is all automated, just go watch a movie, a series or something. The purpose of playing and games is to stimulate the brain and develop skills while enjoying oneself, not to shut down one's brain completely. That's for blockbuster movies.

Dude let people enjoy what they like im not against the idea so lets say you can auto combat but you need to have higher stats a lot of firepower good armor and enough people so if you have that you can auto combat and win at the cost of health proportional to armor stats and firepower

Like I said, it resolves the tedium of regular battles or farming. If you have high firepower and 4 allies, a 5v1 battle against a lowly unarmed thug is going to be boring. Autobattle is a high positive in that case, one I'd support.
But that wasn't what he was asking for. He was asking for an "autoresolve" button for each battle, and decidedly against a system that would offer more strategical options. That's the part I disagreed with.

I 100% agree that your solution would allow players to take care of small fry they may have otherwise avoided (because can't be bothered). Against groups of comparable power to or higher power than yours though, you'll quickly inevitably have to save a comrade from death with auto-resolve, including the obligatory incurred stat loss from almost dying. That wouldn't be satisfactory either as battles would become harder to win until harder comes to impossible, meaning no choice but manual battle... and thus, back to square one for him with "why do I have to do the battles myself? I don't want to think".

It's because it wouldn't solve the issue he actually has that I spoke up. Were it just an autobattle feature for small fry, I'd have liked the comment and moved on.

"Playing games" and the "purpose" for it, is for the individual to define. For example; I do not expect, in any way, to stimulate my brain or develop any skills while thoroughly enjoying MoR.

Wrong.
Words have agreed upon definitions. You can find a collection of those definitions in a dictionary.
Game:
noun
a form of play or sport, especially a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck.

And as for 'not stimulating your brain in any way'... death is the only way that happens.

How about you get the best armor raise stats of your followers to insane degree get all the implants that help you in battle get the best armor hell later on your followers can get implants as well get the best weapons i still think you can autobattle and its kind like a reward for training them so hard and making them into ultimate killing machines.I think that should be a reward for players because they earned it.

Like I said, in that case, I fully agree. Doesn't even need to be that much power. The game already keeps track of individual strength by stating "heroic" and whatnot. An autobattle could either simulate a battle... or more simply and like you said, wound you proportionally to the difference in strength.

I just wouldn't like it if you could autobattle every fight, including tough or impossible ones. There'd be no point to the battle system then. Strength 1200 vs strength 1150 => you win, yay! That'd achieve the same result. It wouldn't be interesting. but easily won battles are just as uninteresting, so an autobattle would help there. That's all i'm saying.

So, I'm full of slaves and I'd like to sell Juno for a quick buck and get some space. But obviously Juno being Juno, she's at 113 Willpower and I can't sell her :HideThePain:

Do you guys think it'd be worth grinding that willpower down (that'll be damn long) or should I just dump her ?

Depends on how long you plan on continuing your playthrough. Eventually she will be quite valuable with you automatically enable property ownership in New Eden. If you don't care, I'd estimate what you can get for her, what rate per day you think you can decrease it by (and how much time per day it will take), and compare that invested time with the competing most profitable use of your time. That will give you your answer.

Ah yeah I forgot about that New Eden thing. That and her survival skill which is pretty handy for hunting too.

Maybe I'll just try and sell Piper instead then, although she has the same issue of willpower. Although ideally, next updates will give us some more slots :HideThePain: (I just noticed that it will be the case, thanks dev  )

Words have definitions, not phrases. Further, words often have multiple definitions.

Millions play the game of Solitaire for fun. I'd rather chew on glass.

You don't get to define for anyone else what game they play, why the play it, or how they enjoy it.
