Version 0.8.1.1 A3 Tier 3+ ($10) has been released!

In addition to Amelia's completed quest, The Space Marine (found in Hamah Bay) and a load of other smaller addons, this release also includes one big surprise.

Just because you're such an awesome community, I took an extra week off my work and coded what every open-world RPG should have: a crafting system!

Crafting in MoR is a relatively advanced feature that'll fundamentally change the economy and how you can adapt your playstyle. You're now able to craft your own ammo, stimpacks, doctor's kits and weapons (armors will be added shortly).

There's an extensive in-game tutorial on crafting, but here are the basics.

New skill: Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing involves weapons and armor crafting. It's also used for crafting various hardware and other advanced crafting materials.

New skill: Artisan
Artisan often acts as a support skill to advanced crafting projects like rifles and machine guns. It's also vital when you craft jewelry, clothes and basic (H. leather or lower) armor.

Medical crafting
Medical crafting depends on the Medicine and Science skills. Crafting stimpacks is not something you do outside a tent in a water-infested grove in Marston Swamps. You'll need nanites and relatively sterile injectors. Building a Laboratory and a Nanite Tube at home is essential if you want to be completely independent from medical vendors.

Projects
You can have a total of three active crafting projects at the same time. A plasma rifle takes several days to finish, while a combat knife only demands a handful of hours. Keeping long-term projects going while spitting out stimpacks or crossbows just to pay your expenditures is therefore a viable survival strategy for a full-time crafter.

Non-project crafting
Simple crafting – which includes ammo and advanced crafting materials (like injectors) will never take up a project slot and can be done as long as you have enough stamina, enough skill and the required crafting modules.

Leveling Artisan and Blacksmith
The best way to level crafting skills is by using them. There's a certain percentage chance to increase either Artisan or Blacksmithing (depending on what object you're crafting) based on your current skill. It's relatively easy to level a low skill value, while it becomes increasingly difficult past 80.

Alpha aids and resources
- There's a button in your Home Interaction screen that'll give you a small boost to your crafting skills, including a batch of resources.
- Many resources are purchasable at various vendors - check out Redhaven Market, Walton's Gunstore and The Medical Facility.

Future features (A4 Alpha and 0.8.1.2)
- New slave profession: Crafter. Slaves will automatically work on your currently started projects – if their skills are high enough.
-Craft armor and clothing.
-Crafting courses/skill books (both for slaves and the MC).
-New Crafting parent background/MC Trait.

Then the game might just not be for you. Not everyone wants to play kinetic novels all the time. There are enough games out there.
I do like the game, mainly because it IS a game not a VN, but it'll be much better with less grind, I don't have hundreds of hours to sink in a game doing mostly the same things for hours, it's not fun

This is an actual game, an adult sex crpg and is meant to be played for 100hrs+ like other mainstream crpgs. Just like them there is a lot of "grind". You need to level stats, collect resources for crafting, selling loot that you collect from battles, upgrading armor, weapons and, since you own a house, upgrading your house. It has a economy where you can invest in businesses and prices change due to external factors. Plus, the adult side where you have to interact with slaves and npcs that you employ.

So, yes you have a lot to do and it will take time. The game is quite open ended, as well, and not near completion, though it has a lot of substance even now.

If you don't like playing crpgs it may not be very enjoyable, even if you are only interested in the slave trainer side of it.

I do love CRPG, and have spent countless hours on them since .. the 80s !! And the sex/slave training stuff in MoR is icing on the cake ! :)
I don't mind with long games that takes 100 hours to finish, I have an issue with games where you don't really accomplish much in several hours... Take the house upgrade system, it's cool, but it's so expensive you have to spend many hours to get a couple things, that's grind, and that's frustating

I believe the best you can do for now is to be patient then. It might feel grindy at the moment due to come content not having been developed yet. For instance, crafting just came out. This gives you an early game goal in order to equip yourself and your followers without having to grind buckloads of money.

Once the game has progressed further, there will be QoL improvements and possibly changes or new additions. I forgot if it's now possible to have your followers staying at your household to train while you're away, busy working (teaching, mining, etc) or whatever. If it's not, it's one QoL that is in the works with at least a few renders prepared already. That'd allow you to explore the game at your own pace before trying to tackle groups that are way beyond your starting strength.

At any rate, jumping on a late game save would deprive you from most of the fun of the game--the power fantasy. Starting weak with little to your name, working your way up until none of the major players may make a move without taking you into consideration. I thought like you and figured it'd be better to wait for changes, for the dev's vision for this game to be more to his satisfaction. Consider supporting if the concept tickles your fancy and your finances allow it... I'm not a paid actor btw, I swear!

Does anybody know if the rest of Nicole Boulay's renders are included in 8.11? I would like to use her more but since she has no sex scene renders it feels like I should be using other slaves

Let us just reflect how cool it is that such a small developer can make such a great game. Computer games have become a corporate industry. But here the old spirit survives. On the back of the lewd, for sure. But this is an excellent game with many great ideas and a fingerspitzgefül for game mechanics and rewards.

I currently discovered the hunting route, where I stalk prey with my crossbow and amass food in my food silo and hope that bandits will disrupt the food trade. When I played game in previous runs, I just loved the bandits because I could kill them and loot them. Now I appreciate them because they increase the price of food (because they are killing and extorting and looting other people). Haha, this is so primitive and so true and so human. If you love history, well, this is the way we are.

Oh, and I like the lewd. And a lot of it is the same piercing realism about how we people are. Put chocolate in one end and get sex out the other end, to put it crudely.

MOD:
(replace existing "start game" file w this one)
Note: If u like grinding & harecore mode this MOD is NOT for you.
If you don't like days wher you FAIL both times training, & you think the "days" are way too short in general, check this out. [WIP]
Mostly focuses on increased stamina bonuses, more realistic [hey dev clicking "back" button shouldn't take 6 min!] (shorter) times; + better luck [PUSH IT] when training; It does *NOT* help w combat, so if you're getting your butt kicked there, train more & get better mercs & equip.
Also a little easier to get Willpower & Corruption. (WIP)
-increased chance to inc charm during foreplay;
-increased stamina gains (1 of these versions lol) with upgrades & bath; [Upgrade BATHROOM & BEDROOM to MAX]

Get to end of day & have stamina left? you can always: spent time w girls (limited time window); time/train w kids (household, again, limited times); Go fishing (near house); Furry's--drink/socialise (etc); &/or: Crafting-> Resources [note that you need to have purchased loom & Smith]

DEV: way *OMG* WAY too much randomness in this game! (imagine walking across the street not sure if you'd get hit by a car!) I've had 70+ stats, & STILL "FAIL" way too many "rolls"; There needs to be a # where SUCCESS is a sure fire guarantee, & it needs to be achievable w/o GAME RESTART.
Already lots difficult (RANDOM) stuff, like "PURE" + "FEMINIST", where you have vastly dec chance of success; Other traits affect Multiple girls bring down their stats, it's an uphill battle you often can't win. (current run has "Flagellation" @74, & *STILL* FAIL (must be 30-40+ times now) when do punishments!)
-->> REALLY need option to LOCK GIRLS IN THEIR ROOM; (only foolproof way now is leave them in Training Room overnight)

Last:
Hints:
- Get Juno & kids & Michelle ASAP; [get them making $ or infl]
- MAX MANIPULATE during game start; (1 of stats Can't inc ingame [or very little--stats below ~50 R worthless;] Many things depend on this;
- If problems w girls escaping: MAX defenses, *AND*, keep FEAR high; (higher fear = lower defiance & escape risk); In fact you can lower escape risk to 0 this way. NOTE THAT THIS MAKES THEM HATE YOU (but doesn't matter if they already do, which is common w MULT FAILED ROLLS in High Willpower girls) Once she's broken, *MUCH* much easier to inc happiness & affection; [hi willpower girls are SPOILED BRATS!]

So I have been using djv007 excellent modded HTML to start games, and have since made some tweaks of my own, for the parts i find too much of a grind (we all have our own kinks on How Much Grind and What Kind of Grind.) :) I'm attaching a Save file with DJV's modded stats, with two additional mods: I've done all the room upgrades and bought/read all of the books from the Bookstore and Devious. I haven't done much else so that people can use this as a baseline starter game file, with just those things adjusted. So Influence is unchanged and I've bought Lovisa, bought the General Store, Market, clothes and bondage stuff, bought best weapon ammo and combat gear from the original Weapon and Armor stores and hired OK mercs. I started one course (Wolf's) at the Academy but didn't mod them in the Save file otherwise since there are some events that happen while finishing them. And I didn't change my Influence (although I almost always do bump that right away to 5000) in case people want to earn it the hard way. :)

To use this, first go get and install djv007's modded game as suggested. You can copy/paste it into the current Public release (.7.9.3) and it will work. Open the game, go into Quick Load and select the Load from File button. Select the Save file I attached here and it should open right up from there. HTH!
I just posted a much more basic MOD. Basic stuff like how you spend your $ early on, & what slaves you get 1st make a big difference. My MOD's designed to cut a lot of the grind, quicker training, + allow more stuff /day (+ stamina/shorter times many events) while STILL keep choices $/slaves/stats/ etc open

Forgive me if this is Elsewhere;

Has anyone (make this latest version 8.1) "finished" (gotten at LEAST $35,000 +1500 Infl OR bought Aria) in "Grimdark" aka HARD mode? (would be ok to use my mod too---but NOT any mod that starts w MAX stats/rooms/tons extra $)

If so, what were your beginning choices? any hints for 1st 200 days? [assume one has "bad luck" w "rolls"]

I've found several starting routes that just simply wouldn't work; But like w most games enough $$$ solves lots of problems!

The key is getting $ + Inf ASAP w/o making your stats worse

This game has gone the way of non random slaves. Is it really a wise decision to spend time on random slaves? I understand the thought, we are slave traders, slaves should be commodity, not precious unique snow flake. However, the game is where it is?
May I suggest to make a few renders for the brothels instead? I think that might be cost efficient way of making them into commodities, and let us to continue to invest ourselves in our own slaves.
