I think there's a point where it doesn't seem to affect tbh. Because Changing STR and Melee to 900...didn't seem to do anything more than changing them to 100. (Which honestly I am perfectly ok with, because making characters TOO op isn't always fun. I do it in RPGM games because the combat generally sucks and I just want to get thru it)

Glad to hear everything's working as intended, I guess I just didn't take a large enough sample size. What about the hit rate? How much is that affected by skill? The dock punks probably aren't most dextrous of opponents, so now that I think about it I could've just been getting lucky with hitting nearly every attack on account of their probably low dodge chances.
The Hit chance in melee is the MC's Melee skill minus the opponent's DEX, minus a dice roll; and then further modified by the enemy's armor (you get a +24 mod when attacking a duraplate wearer for instance), your Intelligence (INT 80+ always gives a +10 mod in melee/ranged) and some other conditions.

A critical success gives a +100 modification, so it's always a 4-5% chance to score a hit even if you're very bad at melee (or if the enemy is very dexterous).

It stacks at 110 atm.

I'll romp that damage bonus modification up to at least 500 Strength builds shortly though, as the player will face Beryll Gorillas and monster lizards in a not-too-far-away update.

So, skipping some update sound to be the best way.

Idk if this is in the dev plans but it would be neat if the game had fewer hardcoded screen dimensions. When I try playing in my 11' chromebook I have to do a bunch of finagling with the css to be able to play. Awesome game tho

Is it realistic to expect we could raise strength to 500? I rarely have enough time to train and the probability of raising it is low. Although I know you mentioned raising the probability, but still I don't expect to increase that often during training.

The typical gamut of sugarcube/twine browser console commands work, and there's a wiki as well. I'm not going to go into detail on the console commands here, there's an excellent thread on this site that covers it and google is your best friend.

It can seem intimidating at first, but once you understand the basics it's fairly simple. Here's the thread: https://f95zone.to/threads/how-to-debug-or-cheat-twine-sugarcube-variables.6553/

For a simple one to see if you got the hang of it, you can try changing Sugarcube.State.active.variables.cash to change your amount of money. After executing the command go into a menu or move to a different location in game to make the game update.

How come it says that it doesn't support mobile gaming but it has a mobile game tag??
it can be played on mobile, just requires some finagling.



a more mobile friendly version is being worked on

Nice to see news of updates. Im just kind of worried, that one good day all that grinding will not be save compatible anymore or new update will make past choices obselete. Would be nice, when in future you could start new game but keep your stats. Or start new game and enter cheat page to copy stats you had in past games included money. So far im happy that i could play same game from start and grind up my stats and money. and influence

Version 0.8 is supposed to be fully savegame compatible, with the possibility to reset all slaves and return them, unspoiled, to their starting positions. This enables you to get all the new features from version 0.8 and maintain your original character with all his quest, fame, money and skill progressions. But you'll also be able to keep your slaves if you want to. You might miss out on some unique features (like random traits) but there will be no side effects or bugs if you just patch from 079 to 08 and continue as usual.

How do we increase maximum health and stamina?

at this time, you are unable to increase maximum health. however, if you train up your stamina stat, you will take less damage and have more stamina points when performing actions throughout the day.



pls check the Stamina and Stamina points section.

I use saveedit.online, the variables you want to change are near the bottom about 7/8 of the way down... Make a copy of your save incase something goofs up. Your stats are under Master and your slave stats are under av, memorize how much money you have because there are 2 cash lines and the one you want to change is the one with your current cash amount. also memorize at least one of your slave stats and merc stats to make sure your editing the right ones. I also managed to change my mercs weapons to plasma guns by removing "rifle" or "shotgun" and changing them to "plasma"... I did this because the upkeep for mercs that have these is high and I wanted to keep the low upkeep ones I had. Also because there was seemingly no other way to upgrade their weapons... I only upgraded my slaves ranged and melee skills because the progress you make each time you train and the chance of success are bogusly low and I still wanted to train my slaves other stats the normal way, and that is gonna take a long time as it is. I'm about 150 days in and my slaves still suck at almost everything except Michelle is 72 in dance and they all have a high disposition toward their master and all sex. I've shown people how to shoot before and if they had 0 exp with a gun to start I would give most people a 90 after one afternoon... Except one dude, but it was because his eyes were very bad and he simply couldn't see 30ft away... Melee on the other hand takes time to train because there's more then just swinging involved, but unless the person was a real dullard they should be pretty Yojimbo after 60 days with a good sparing partner... I hope this helps. On a side note I'm super excited about the next updates and cant wait for more pics to make the training less tedious. So far the text is great with very few errors and the description of your surroundings and background art really set the mood for your missions. Even though I've done every available mission so far there is still a lot to do around town with training, dinner dates, arena matches, hunting trips, new bandit spawns, and scraping merchandise to keep me more than busy. Cool game so far that has a unique setting that's hard to compare to other games and movies but has the best of everything... Nice job GrimDark!
