can someone who is fan of this game, explain what he likes about it ? i think its terrible. i have the same issues as DmD (not surprise since this is pretty much the same game but without incest and faster pacing with main girl) reached content until probably 0.4 and then started to skip everything.
writing is fucking atrocious. it makes me want to shoot myself. i literally put my hands on my face and started screaming. who the fuck talks like these characters ??? where is the dev from ? because i never met anyone who talks like that. whats with the showing every single minor thought of all the characters ? half the dialogue is inner thoughts about every minor situation. character will have 5 minute monologue inside his head when someone knocks on the door. game is treating me like 8 year old autistic kid who cant understand basic human reactions and situations. its close to the anime overreactions level of annoyance.

People who like this type of game might go for the exposition and character nuances, even if the dialogue and emotions can be kind of "naive" and even formal in style for many characters. We see that they're either 3D or 2D in personality from their inner thoughts vs actual actions (e.g., Rebecca vs Steve) with all this dialogue. And, the protagonists - the MC and their primary counterparts (i.e., D or Melody) - develop a relationship over many shared experiences before becoming another notch in the bedpost, while other characters can move far faster into sex with the MC as either a diversion or fan service while the protagonists work out the main plot together.

Your interests aren't aligned with this game, perhaps. It has lots of sex, but it's not a Milfy City or similar where the sex just gets tossed in so often - and, with the ability to churn on the same characters+scenes - that it's mostly about gratification instead of characters or story. They each have their selling points - as do many other types of games offered in this forum - I was just contrasting with one that might be more to your expectations.

The only negative I'll give are the unnecessary and excessively long internal dialogue the PC spits out every few days that I truly doubt most guys put so much thought into. I'd appreciate if we'd obtain a dialogue prompt while these go on to direct "our feelings" for a more direct and relevant internal dialogue without affecting the story.

Are you implying that men don't think too deeply or often on their growing relationships? Because most guys I knew were like that, the rest being just matter-of-fact and still somewhat thoughtful or kind of assumptive about roles and sort of shallow.

Wait.. what? finally a release? hmmm released in sepember, Skipped August as it was a DMD release month, and July Melody Release. I'd say it's not a "FINALLY" but damn it's great that it is one of the ones that comes out on schedule 99% (maybe 95%) of the time! I'm sorry if you don't like DMD and think it shouldn't get a release but hey I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Dots is doing a damn good job and he's ramped up his game from DMD to Melody and he is keeping to the schedule he set out to do when patreon fucked him.

my answer to why i like this..its written like an old timey novel with alot of inner thought in the protag's head and such..it tries to weave a fully fleshed out story with emotion and atmosphere..thats why alot of games i'd class as 90's vhs tape porn and alot..like this..as 70's italian or danish porn...try both..you'll see what i mean..HAHAA

Ok here's what I did (a bunch of new games are beginning to have this problem) and I've had to do this several times. So go to the renpy site and download a 7.0.0 development sdk (not the 7.1). Now move the games into the top level of the SDK (in your case just the game). So in the same level you put Melody you'll find the renpy.exe. Click on that and it will bring up the renpy launcher. On the left side will be all the games in sdk environment (should just Melody, Tutorial, and The Question. Click on Melody and then click on launch project (in the lower right). Now it should bring up Melody fine. My theory is there's something wrong in the renpy that causes the white screen and this approach runs it under the SDK.

On the site I'm just finding 7.1.0

On the site I'm just finding 7.1.0

There's a link that says older versions... on the page that has the 7.1.0. First time I also got the 7.1 and the application launcher (without a game yet) had the white screen issue on the sdk. Which is why I think there's a bug in the renpy itself (just a theory at this point).

Nice novel. great graphics cool story. However, an autoplay function might be better... so you can read it like a novel...
the constant needing to click to go forwards might be a turnoff when the story gets longer and opportunities get complicated when you want to reach certain goals.
so in game mechanics it could use an overhoule. story is solid and graphics are great...
Compairing with dev's other novel, same quality in graphics and story. also same need to take an action (either clicking on using a keybaord) to forward the game...
maybe both cool be better readable if the autoplay function is embedded.
or.. maybe unren needs an update to be able to edit the menu functions..
however, still one of the best novels around
