You can open the gallery also in the main menu of the game... Anyway for the lewd gallery you don't need to put it in a folder... Extract it only and enjoy the pictures

It's not a screenshot.I just posted the images after using unren on Melody 0.01 and 0.12.For the WEBP I save it as jpeg in order to let me post it here,but the change is not that significant like you made it sound.It is a diffrence of 36.8KB.
Also he use this method because of the many complains the game is going too big.And he is not the only one.I still remember how DoDana was more than 10GB way before the end

Hm, I don't think so.

Just downloaded from the official MrDots link at SubscribeStar and compared the regular edition vs the "extras" edition to be sure both had the same base content - the link offered here seems to be for the full "extras" edition.

I sometimes find that older saves might not work well but newer ones will - that's a hassle, because you might suddenly lose access to a lot of history, I realize (happened with me on DMD).

But, in almost every case the later saves - sometimes only the save just before my latest - would work with a new installment.

Hey guys how come the file size is smaller than last update by a whole 1 GB?

As some have already mentioned, it's possibly from their use of a different graphics format which has greater (lossy) compression applied.
