It didn't work for me at first (I was updating from compressed version).

I used unren to extract the new files (options 1 and 2) then tried again and it worked.

There's a chance it merely took a second load of the game for it to work, but that's the step I took.

Simply plop both scripts.rpa and version(x).rpa into your MidlifeCrisis/Game folder. Overwrite as needed.

Yes, that's it, just pop them in the 'game' folder and overwrite when prompted. It worked for me and, for the record, my folder is still called Midlife Crisis 0.17 as this is the second month I've used the patch.
