Why on earth did you reduce intensity of your jokes (last ~1/3 part of the game); stop listening your adviser please and be yourself again. Never shed tears before when laughing to jokes of an AVN before. I want to see your game on Steam if possible.

I was playing through the game taking a route few probably have... basically being good and not having sex with anyone, not even the wife LMAO... I'm curious that way. Anyhow, I got the following error... looks like someone forgot to set a variable and it was never caught because, well.... we're all normally pervs and never go this route!

Should really set all these variables at the top of each script to their default values, just in case they're never used.

or you tell the creator of the mod you are using, not to remove essential pieces of code (like the 4th line in version03.rpy, that actually would defaults that variable).

Considering how many years this game has been out the main graphic at the start of this thread could REALLY use an update. The dev has definitely improved their ability so the whole completely out of place, blindingly bright LI isn't a thing anymore. Sadly wife is still butt ugly :\

To be fair, I would say the main selling point of this novel has never been the graphs.

Even when it started the graphics were not top notch.

The main selling point is the writing. And I don't mean that in terms of story. I mean that in terms of descriptions, of the way characters speak to each other.

But I guess it wouldn't hurt to update some already made images

For sure, the Wife is probably the best part of the VN. I never thought I'd EVER say that in an Incest game. It's not because Wife is the most attractive, but the wife's path is THEE most involved and far reaching route in the game. It involves MC's sister, Niece, Sarah, and some optional (gross ) sharing. And if you include how important she is to the story, it also involves the rest of the characters.

If wife can be improved to look even better it'd make this game that much more perfect. There are some rough renders like when the character's eyes go black or when there is some passive texture or clipping issues. Still, the MASSIVE improvements on the niece should be respected. Lets hope he does try to finish instead of trying to remaster everything. Shut up and Dance is going at a glacier pace because of it

I think it's CAUSE of the imperfect graphics that give this game an edge. Every character feels lived in, and not pristine. Because this, the kinky stuff feels even more kinky. The wife "teaching" the niece about sex with her uncles own dick was one of the hottest things I've ever seen on this website.

At least it doesn't really deter because the strengths of this game lie elsewhere, in its dialogue with its humor and actually erotic sex talk. Which surely beats the same super model clone character we've seen plenty of times in other games just going "Oh, so big is your dick, oooh, aaaah, cumming!".

recently started to play this and i have to say it is a great game so far. it is to me what The Adventurous Couple should be. lots of choice, a loving wife that doesn't cheat but is open to threesomes with other women and an MC who is not a happy idiot pushing his wife to go fuck every guy she meets. oh and it took me a while to figure out, but the character Rock looks like John Candy, which made me laugh. anyone agree with me on that? anyway, still playing it and really enjoying it. great job Dev.

Animations either shorten the length of updates or make it so there's way more time between updates.
I find animations way overrated.

Yes it adds something: lots of additional UNNECESARY time between updates and UNEXPECTED DELAYS.

Animations, specially what most want which is sex animations, SO overrated. We all know the sex animation movements are.

Seriosuly, They couldn't be more unnecesary, whatever you can do with them you can do equally as well with well done static images.

The key to good sex scenes is something this game already has: writing. Take Sorcerer sex scenes as an example of what not to do. Animations but no writing->among the worst sex scenes in all f95

So please, NO losing time in animations.

Perhaps only what Ocean does in Summers Gone (not sex animations) is worth it, and it takes soo much time for each release.

I agree with the fanged chocolate here, animations are overrated. Good animations need a lot of time, thus you can either spend it on some 30s clip that have 720 frames in it or use that time otherwise.
With the amount of lighting, clipping or any other issue that images or animations have and need manual postprocessing, why invest them here in this game? 95% of the time animations are used they time for them would have have been used better otherwise. And with this game and dev, whose unique selling point is the writting it is mostly lost.

Yes, in an universe with inifite resource, it would be nice, but then we all would have 16k tvs and monitors driven with a triple of the current over the top GPU setup with ...., but we have only limited resource and in this case, I rather have nef doing his writing and still image than animations.

Sure, you can do without animations. But if your sex scene only has a handful of still renders in it, that is not good either.
A porn game can be excused for having you look at a the same still render when you are having an in-game conversation with some character, since the graphical focus should be more on the sex scenes.
Better to make extra still renders/camera angles for a sex scene then wasting lots of time on some (and usually just a measily 1) animation and a few bare pics. Not many games with good animations AND good pictures.

I will take some middle ground here. Good animations do add something for me as well. My preferred solution would be waiting some more for updates but given the general impatience of zoners that might not be a majority opinion.

Also, as somebody mentioned earlier, it might be that improved graphics and spelling and some (also "needed") layout improvements and better font and so on without compromising on the writing - as a theoretical thought experiment - might actually not improve on the game as a whole for everybody. Rough edges have their own charm and a game - as a movie - is always seen as a whole, and there is a "je ne sais quoi" factor which could easily be destroyed if individual flaws are eradicated.

And for me the factor is represented here perfectly. I would give this easy 5 stars despite all it's lacking. Actually I already did - and preempting this discussion I also explained in my review that to me it is also the flaws which contribute to it. Add good fluent animation and the magic might be destroyed. NB: "might" - it might also push it to a higher level. We will never know though because Nef will never make them

Good animations are freaking awesome. Go check out Bad Memories - but yes they do take time to be that damn good.

So I feel like Nef should continue as he is and tinker with animations on the side just to learn. Maybe drop one in if you feel like it turned out well but always a bonus thing. Then with some experience he could always try in the next game. Or skip animations there as well if he feels the pace is too slow or he doesn't like how they turn out.

My opinion of course. And I am OK with Nef's choice because I have enjoyed this so much he has earned my endorsement in anything (Except that unmentionable)
