This is the first adult game I've ever played, so I'm a noob at this.
Therefore I have some questions:
How do I get the latest update, do I just "re-download" the game using one of the links in the OP?
Also, how do I use my previous save?

Yes just re-download from the OP. Saves should still be there but we're still waiting on the latest patreon release to make its way here.

Yes you have to re-download every time there is a new update, then you copy your saves from the game folder in the previous one and you paste it into the game folder into the new one

You don't need to do this, at least on Windows. All of the saves are stored outside the game folder.

I didn't know either... until I did! There are loads of little bits that make games easier to play.

As already stated, the save files are stored in the game folder itself and in a separate folder. The default path is
C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy
I recommend deleting the respective folder and start fresh should you run into errors when using a newer version of the game.

If you experience any errors when loading a save, don't panic nothing is lost in Pornblivion
I would recommend to start fresh and use Ctrl to skip to each choice.
Stop doing that at the last choice your remember and you should have a bug free save
In this game, it can be done in 10-15mn atm (easier than trying to Fix Ren'Py error and you are 100% sure the choices made are yours)
