I've made an unofficial ipatch of my own (for my own use). even though i'm sharing it, I have no plans to maintain it. use at at your own risk
As long as Dev/writer doesn't add more "relatives" AND stop changing character variables, it should work for future releases.
just copy it into the game folder.
There was a typo in that file. corrected it

If you want to change the name of the MC, you have to edit the file prologue.rpy in the "game" folder. Line 105, there you can change the name. But you have to start from the beginning AND you have to go through the intro.

Thank you that's a lot of work just to change something that the dev should give us the option right away not sure i would have looked in that file.
