This I disagree with. She's the most grotesquely overdeveloped character because of the polls. Literally EVERYBODY else has only been getting a smattering of content here and there. I'm not saying he should stop writing for Caroline but it's time he give the girl a break and make something of his WIPs. I think there's still three or four that have virtually nothing to nothing at all done with them. And then there's the existing stories that need to be expanded upon.

I have no skin in this game at all, am simply reflecting your points and "suggestions:"

• ICSTOR has created "issues" by sharing the % number: I am only seeing a minority of people here with such an issue, mostly his detractors
• ICSTOR needs to change how he communicates his status and/or intentions: What he's doing is consistent with his style and still retains subscribers, somehow: he doesn't *need* to suddenly adopt a new style of communicating if he's concentrating on other things.
• ICSTOR is too easily swayed by negative voices and is thin-skinned: he just came out of a highly personal slowdown and medical leave, during which increasingly negative voices accused him of everything from being fully burned out on the game to intentionally cheating all his subscribers. Yet, he's still back to pick up the work per announced plan, has started communicating again (in his style, for better or worse), has offered a poll which many people find somewhat distracting (as usual) and upped the % to exemplify that he's moving ahead on the game

Maybe you can see how that easily reads as: glass=more than half empty on his intentions, capabilities and/or deliverables. And, seems unrealistic, given how he's operated before.

Too many people today have had everything handed to them on a silver platter and feel entitled. I spent about 14 years in an environment (the Army) where things were more "Hurry up and wait." Being a RetMSgt, I imagine you knew the feeling. Be nice if these kids were put into some mind numbing, repetitive, time consuming shit for a couple months and then they'd have something really to bitch about.

I do think it's a fair criticism of Icstor to say his story-development needs work. The polls have such a stunting effect on the growth of the game and his own mental health because they take place of a real plan. He should take a look at some other well-known games that storyboard more effectively and incorporate the various romantic interests in a more evenly distributed and natural way. Look at a game like Where the Heart Is that has a few main squeezes and then a bunch of supporting side chicks that weave their way into the story more organically.

A good format is something like using a plot that develops a main character to incorporate a sexual encounter with a side character. Ex. Sarah is doing poorly in school, so MC has to convince Macy to tutor her, and Macy isn't gonna do it for free, she wants some dick in payment. MC gives her what she wants and Sarah's story develops. I call it the "Wannabe Method"(if you want to be her lover, you gotta get with her friends).

Pandering too much to their audience has been a problem (at least for me) with Icstor since their previous games. Game is hot there is no denying that, but sometimes i wish they had a more clear goal about what they want to do with it.

Like I said, I'm just reflecting what you implied, because I felt they didn't reflect reality more than a perspective you'd like to see lead towards other changes. As I explained, these don't seem critical needs at this time and could possibly be more disruptive to his flow than anything else.

he messed up with his earlier polls, letting his patrons decide what characters he'd work on. It sounds good in theory, but in practice it devolved to Linda/Carolline, with the occasional Sara update. I think dropping that, and going with other types of questions in polls is a good thing. A schedule of girls he wants to work on is the best way for him to stay engaged, and to make sure all girls get some love.

That said, some of his poll questions left me scratching my head. Harem ending? duh. Pregnancy? He likes it, so duh. Redesign Macy? WTF?

Honestly, I saw the poll questions - similar to past polls - as him letting the paying audience have a feeling they were involved and being heard. So, that will retread things we already take for granted because I guess not much is "sacred" about these characters or their roles for him . At the same time, he's probably wrapped up in some of his own likes and wants some direct feedback/ratings for things he might prefer, e.g., the minor character redesign.

Yeah, I'd love to see more Sara too, but he apparently feels it's better to go with the majority - that's probably not a bad assumption, but if he has a destination in mind for all of these characters, it's not completely evident to me how he's getting there if the fans mostly determine the action (rather than influencing the odd installment).
