Hei bro, I think you are right, about the side routes, they Will be marginal imo, as they were in IC2.
Actually i am very Happy about that, because i am here Just for the incest and thus for the main characters. But i feel Sorry nontheless for people wanting more variety.

Well maybe he needs to stay off the forums then and not let anything that people say get to him.
Many people were alluding to the notion that he took some time off because people were critiquing his game.
Well, he kept getting bigger and bigger, so criticism and attention are side effects. Silly criticims should just be ignored and constructive criticism is great for him.
His Patreon numbers should be enough encouragement for him.
My opinion is that he needs to
- Have thicker skin.
- Forget about stupid polls and what people might think.
- Give a brief update every 2 weeks about your progress.
- Keep your head down, and keep pumping updates and finish the game properly.
His fan base will grow and all the previous shit will be forgotten.

I'm not aware of evidence that ICSTOR has thin skin: he stated his reason for falling behind and taking a break, now that period is over and he's back to work.
His moving the percentage up helps to add more indication of his activity, but his dev style has long seemed, "when it's ready" so it's anyone's guess how accurate it is down to the decimal point. Since he's offered an August timeframe, I also don't see why he needs to change his interaction style this far down the road - maybe if he starts to lose significant numbers of supporters and decides to try more outreach, that would make sense.
Sure, we can ask for more ideal communications, but that doesn't seem to be his current issue with fans - more his detractors. If I were him, I wouldn't give those voices much attention if they were way off, anyway.

If you played the early versions of IC2, then the later versions.. you'll know what I mean. The game was drastically changed because a few people complained.
It's good that he listens, but sometimes it seems that he cares about what people say too much.
If you ask anyone here what is ICSTOR biggest issue, most will say communication.
He should really scrap that whole % thing, it would just give him and everyone else a headache.

Why do you seem to be assuming there has been no progress? Your post seems to come from the perspective that ICSTOR is hiding his true status and needs to come clean in some manner.
Sure, he listens, polls, etc. and tries to respond to related feedback in ways that makes some fans/supporters scratch their heads when it comes to the game content+direction, but that doesn't mean this game is running off the rails or that he needs to suddenly change his processes if he's still comfortable with the situation.
Once again, he offered August and if he's satisfied with offering his typical style of poll and spread-out posts, so long as he's getting the kind of feedback he needs to continue his work (e.g., poll results) and enough subscribers, I would tend to doubt he'll see a compelling reason for changing his communications style (which is not a minor change, his personality seems bound to that aspect of his professional work).
If he does decide to break from his typical pattern of communications, I'd wager it would be because something disastrous happened and he needs to explain its impact.

I have no skin in this game at all, am simply reflecting your points and "suggestions:"
- ICSTOR has created "issues" by sharing the % number: I am only seeing a minority of people here with such an issue, mostly his detractors
- ICSTOR needs to change how he communicates his status and/or intentions: What he's doing is consistent with his style and still retains subscribers, somehow: he doesn't *need* to suddenly adopt a new style of communicating if he's concentrating on other things.
- ICSTOR is too easily swayed by negative voices and is thin-skinned: he just came out of a highly personal slowdown and medical leave, during which increasingly negative voices accused him of everything from being fully burned out on the game to intentionally cheating all his subscribers. Yet, he's still back to pick up the work per announced plan, has started communicating again (in his style, for better or worse), has offered a poll which many people find somewhat distracting (as usual) and upped the % to exemplify that he's moving ahead on the game

It's been so long since the last update that I've forgotten most of the story. I will have to replay it from scratch when the update drops, not a big deal.

Well said, but...
he messed up with his earlier polls, letting his patrons decide what characters he'd work on. It sounds good in theory, but in practice it devolved to Linda/Carolline, with the occasional Sara update. I think dropping that, and going with other types of questions in polls is a good thing. A schedule of girls he wants to work on is the best way for him to stay engaged, and to make sure all girls get some love.
That said, some of his poll questions left me scratching my head. Harem ending? duh. Pregnancy? He likes it, so duh. Redesign Macy? WTF?
