Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't ICSTOR just before release mention that is was gonna take about ten extra days after release to add the animations?

He did estimate 10 days, but he also said in the same sentence "this month for certain". Immediately covering his options and setting himself up to not hit his estimate.

Those minigames are not that much time consuming to produce. They make you getting a sense of achievement after succesfully done them.

If you feel accomplished by clicking a button 50 times, good for you.

Leaving you on a "cliff-hanger" for the next game version.
All you can do now is to "play" with the dramatis personae in the game to clear the night-time activity, if you haven't already done so, or play games to increase your money. Also you can search for the hidden "secret" cards if you've not done so already. (there's a pdf file available, with their locations, if you have trouble finding them.

That post would have been even better under a couple of spoiler cowls, ...
