I just played this without knowing too much about it and then came to see about its current progress. At least I've got a whole load of other games I've never played before.

There are zero update posts that haven't been shared here and in one of the most recent ones, Icstor essentially admitted the progress bar is bullshit:

But still changing the bar by another 10% bumped his patrons up. His patrons akin to against lockdown protesters.

Seems hes at odds with his patreons as they all just want more MILFY CITY and yet he personally enjoys creating and completing games quickly and moving on to new creations (ive lost count of how many hes managed to make over the years).
He should probably start another project to get him working full tilt again and then on side complete this game as hes just getting endless abuse at this stage which WONT encourage him to work even harder, likely the opposite. As others have said its best to vote with your wallet so nobody loses either way as the pressure these devs get to update seems to push far more away than it ever encourages. Ive no idea how they do it, I know I personally couldn't and its not like they win no matter what they do lol

Lol who the hell would even consider becoming this guys patreon at this point? Especially when you get like 15 minutes worth of content every year...

The problem is in fact that all the good ones end up like this eventually. You can literally finish playing every other decent game twice and you would still have to wait half a year for this one to get an update.
The only thing that can flip this situation is if 90% of his patrons leave him. Only then may he wake up and start doing anything. But people are lambs

Go to the main forum page, click the completed button, and sort by rating. Lots of good games that have been finished. I doubt that you can "literally finish playing every other decent game twice" and still have 6 months to wait for a Milfy City update.

Lol even if his patreon took a big hit from people leaving, it wouldn't change Icstor's ways. He already admitted he's lost interest in this project, both vocally and by his actions. This game peaked at .5, any future update will never be as good so abandoning his patreon would just give Icstor less money each month, not improve the quality or speed of the updates.

He said himself he just enjoys creating new characters and stories more (he's made about six games already so he's not kidding about that) yet everyone wants more MILFY CITY forever more so he's declared doing 2 more updates just to give all characters an ending which hasn't gone down well and the longer it takes to do even that the more insults he's been bombarded with leaving bigger silences and I assume writers block as he's coming across as unmotivated to meet the demand for MILFY CITY. Honestly it's probably the biggest Porn Game in the world right now so I don't envy him as he can't win either way.

The trouble is everyone was blowing smoke up his ass giving him the false sense of belief that he hit a gold mine with this game. He's even admitted on his discord that Milfy City was a culmination of everything he learnt from his past games (both failures and achievements), so technically this is actually his FIRST game that he put any real effort into and now he's being pressured to work, he's now backing out because he was never really challenged before. He got the formula right with this game but his attitude is "I like to make new games with new concepts" when he doesn't realize he's sitting on a Golden Goose egg, not in terms of money (sine he knows that) but it terms of everything falling together.
The next update better be released soon, he's being watched ever so carefully now. If this flops then we know this game is done for, also he chose Sara of all the girls too kill this game. No one will wait around for the update after v0.7 if it sucks, no one has that kind of patience.
As long as there is a decent harem ending within the next year I'll be satisfied with this game. In the end it's just that, a game. And one that I didn't pay a single penny for. It entertained me for hours and hours and I haven't even played it past v0.4 yet.
