It was obvious from the start that this would happen.
Was it?
I was under the impression that his track record was better than most.

In fact, the patreon system for games is a terrible choice and obviously rewards stalling instead of working.
Agreed, Patreon works well for stuff that you can enjoy in monthly doses but is terrible for projects that are supposed to get finished at some point.

This guy registered his account today and started trolling. Don't pay any attention or just joke about it.
jesus fucking christ... are you guys really giving atention to that dude?
Hey... ths one of the funnier things happening in this Thread lately... that is not related on calling the Dev a Dairy Farmer or questioning his live signals and work morale... while still

Quiet so... his track record is 2 finished games and 2-3 overly rushed ones with dissatisfieng endings.
With this one being an obviously milking project

Depends on the Dev and his/her work ethic...
No idea how ICStor managed to get this popular I know far more Devs that actually overwork themselves to release games with impressive amount of gameplay and content each month

That's still a lot more finished product than the vast majority of Patreon devs.
If I look at completed ICSTOR games on F95 I see Taboo Request, Robot's Touch, Milf's Villa, Milf's Control and Incest Story 1&2. Even if one is basically a mini-game and 2 were rushed, that's plenty of content to suggest this would've gotten finished in some way.

I honestly thought Milfy City might be the culmination of his incest series, where he avoids all his past errors and implements everything he learned along the way... which he did for a while.

ICSTOR got popular because he's been riding the incest wave almost from the beginning and because he actually completed games, which is still far from the norm on Patreon.

As for work ethic, in my opinion the much bigger issue is Patreon's system, which rewards you for dragging on as long as your paying audience will tolerate it. Not only that, you actually need to start working on your next project long before your current one finishes. Otherwise you have nothing to offer for months and your pledges drop, possibly permanently, no matter how committed you are.

ICStor put out some really incredible animations and a decent amount of content in the first release. And he did it right when a lot of people were looking for a new dev to follow after DarkSilver disappeared up his own ass. Good timing and a good first impression make for a big Patreon fanbase.

You raise a fixed quantity and the devs deliver that when it's ready and even so a bunch of people manages to disappoint with the end result, the thing is that at least they deliver a complete game.
This is not true at all.
Icstor and the likes are a exception rather than the rule and this forum is full of developers and games proving this point.

Don't worry guys, he's going to try his hardest to not drop this new game after the second or third update, he'll also try his best not to leech off of his patrons funding this time, please show some appreciation to the struggle of this poor man, you have no idea how hard it is to continue what you're doing when that thing puts you on a 6-figure payroll.
Did he got 211 times downvoted? LMAO!

telling the same story over and over again and if you are lucky changeing the protagonists appearance, while still haveing the same shitty personality isn't really challenging though.
ICStor is mass producing the stereotypical incest story (or atleast what he considers it to be) over and over again, while most indi Devs experiment with new game mechanics, story compositions, engines and other unique stuff as they are aware they can't compete with officialy developed games on the budged and graphics for example.
So I'd say ICStor is mass producing B-Movie quality games and is tired of it... with this one he actually had a potential storyboard for a blockbuster, but he is not interested in that... he is doing it to earn money nothing more... but probably even less

Not sure if you're just trying to be edgy, but the protagonist in Milfy City is nowhere near the annoying little shit most of ICSTOR's previous MCs were.
You don't have to like him, personally I hate pretty much all supposedly-18-but-looks-14 male characters in incest games, but there's a notable difference.

Now you're just having a laugh. Indie devs in other genres may experiment and come up with unique ideas, but that rarely applies to adult games. There's a number of popular concepts that 95% of all games here follow, with the occasional exception every now and then.
Please don't try to sell copycat porn games as arthouse movies.

Star Citizen has already collected more than $ 300 million on kickstarter, but there is still no game, you can only go to the toilet with your friends, on your ship :)))
Do you really think this is normal?
You picked the worst case scenario, nothing can be compared with star citizen.

I mean this month he lost more than 500 patrons. There are new people finding this game everyday. And I have a feeling that it won't be long until he releases either an update for this game, or a new game. He is not dumb. He knows how to increase his patreon numbers.
He has gained 150 in the past few days. I think he was at 5,8xx a few days ago

You have too little information: on kickstarter, more than 50% of projects end in nothing - an even better platform for scammers than Patreon (I don't like him either, but I have to remain objective).

At least on kickstarter you have the option to not fund something if you know you can't get your money back.
Still patreon is a platform that will reward someone for not working or at the very least, work very slowly.

Patreon makes you pay, extorts money from you, maybe blackmails, doesn't give you the opportunity to turn off the payment?
