From what I understand, NLT is a team of people. ICSTOR is just one guy. It's sometimes difficult for people to remain focused on things if they're not working in a group. Rockstar at work, but daily chores at home lag...that sort of thing. Not saying that's exactly it, but that is a common (VERY common) personality quirk.

My personal wager on the story behind this game being put on the back burner? Maybe his last S.O didn't appreciate his kink art, and now there's a new S.O but he's hiding that side of himself. Doesn't want to be caught at 3am on his computer rendering a 3D CG teen with a cock in her mouth, ya know? Working on the new game is his way of establishing time for himself to render a few scenes in secret when she's thinking he's working on the non-kink game. Or maybe I'm ass backwards and ICSTOR is a woman. Or a Decepticon? Maybe a Changeling. Definitely not a Leprechaun. Those little bastards will stare your mother in the eye while having a tug, so you know they ain't hiding shit from anyone.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be upset, but at least think critically about it. There still is a viable percentage of possibility he's putting forth the effort. Get mad when there's little to no percentage. And for fucks sake if he's got to hide his kink to stabilize his personal life, don't shame him. He'll never make an attempt for another decent kink game again, so you just fuck yourself out of new content. That's backwards. I get that we're all here for games to touch ourselves inappropriately to, but don't go and fuck yourselves. That's counter-productive. Counter-productive.

ICStor is one guy alright... however he hired several contractors to do his work... he should be aware of his short comeings as they kept around and hindered his work for several years now.
ICStor has no interest in developing games perce... he is interested in haveing fun by dolting down some random ideas and connect them... until he grows tired of it and starts over... that's a personality quirk... the fact that he claims to be professional about this business is a scam though

I'm not saying people shouldn't be upset, but at least think critically about it. There still is a viable percentage of possibility he's putting forth the effort. Putting RL issues on the front is a common practice and ICStor did so before... however he calls those "Burn out"... now his definition of the term was given before and was translated to being bored... think critical again and you might reach the same conclusion as the rest of us

Icstor has a coder, and writer. And as of the last few months has added a community manager and additional render guy. ICSTOR is one guy, but the team is 5 people.

To give everyone an idea, that's an indie dev team making a small porn game.

As for the kink stuff, I call BS. He himself said he just loses passion for his projects.

I think people like me are coming back to it cause for most people this was the first game that they played so its hard to forget the game that got you in this community. There might be a better answer but thats what I think anyways.

If he's bringing in 100k a month not only will a chick lock him down QUICK but they aren't going to give two shits how he's earning that money. I agree, but do not diminish ICSTOR as artist. When he wants to work he can. MC is no longer the best 3d game here but still it is in top 5. If you compare this game to simple renders then there are hundreds of new 3d games here every year and 90% die quickly because their quality is many folds lower. While I agree with the sentement I don't see much of a difference... the game aged badly as ICStor never even tried to improve the artwork after claiming to upgrade his rendering engine.
His work quality is around avarage of games that survived the Alpha phase of development... I don't know any other game with an equally long production history being incompleted but games further advanced overshadow MC at this point.
He took to much time and never improved to justify a longer production time if the game once was a 4/5 it now is a 2(maybe 2,5)/5
