Everyone bitching about this game despite the fact that at least 90% of us don't even pay for it is both sad and amusing. We ain't giving this guy shit, yet we're all bitching about how scummy he is. To me time management is no longer the issue. It is dishonesty.
Can anyone after all the delays say to themselves they believe Icstor truly intended to release the update in August like he said on August 8th? But then things happend and now he can't give a concrete release date but somehow what was supposed to be done in 3 weeks now turned into 9?

Hes not even slightly off his August 8th estimate. The guy is 2 months late

That's one way I looked at the comment. Plus, they may literally have missed some pieces - I would tend to doubt whole scenes (but who knows?) and are finding out only while piecing it all together and testing.

Either way, seems it's going to be awhile.

Then you'll get the pirates claiming this is clearly milking, etc. It seems unlikely that ICSTOR - given his history and desire to keep cash flowing - is doing that vs he simply got over his head on this release (and hit his typical project management skill limits) ... which he's done before.

Occam's Razor and all: ICSTOR has never been good at project management and this is turning into his shining example of that weakness. He really needs to put out only smaller releases, at the very least.

I like the Lust Epidemic model. A release every two weeks on the exact same date. Two animated scenes and some extra content. Like clockwork.

That is in addition to the work done from mid January to March (got 60% done in that time according to himself). And then starting again around the 20th of May.

So if it is truly released in early/mid October it will be more than 7 months that went into this update.

In a way it's a compliment to the game/dev, that people enjoy it and want more. And, the one area where they kinda have a point, it's been almost a year at this point since the last update/release. Even allowing the guy to take a break, it's past time to release something when there are a bunch of people giving him lots of money every month.

I understand being upset that the dev has failed on some promises, but being upset about it here isn't going to accomplish anything. If people truly want to show the dev that there's a problem, they need to cancel their Patreon subs. As long as people continue supporting bad practices, bad practices will continue to happen.

It's too bad there isn't a way to see who's *actually* supporting him on Patreon, and who's just here to shitpost.
