I can understand being upset after 3-4 months, but 11 months?

Tbf it's more understandable to be upset right now compared to 3-4 months into the delay since the game was actually meant to be released now and instead the dev releases an announcement stating another delay, "expected" to be ten days but will be "definitively" be released this month (read: up to 21 more days believing he delivers his promise).
What I don't understand is complaining on a pirate thread of all places over and over.
Hell, it took me 5 pages of backward reading to reach an actual link to the news

I agree on that... and trust me I do that aswell.
But same as you advocate to stop the arguments I say there is value to them aswell... maybe they won't change anything in the near future, but hopefully they'll work as a counter fire as this developement is starteing to spread.
I'd hate to see any of the games I actively support to be affected to some degree by that... at best supporters will be discouraged to use Patreon and make it harder for these devs... at worst they'll follow line

yeah I agree but that has to be at best something along the lines of what the dev does and conveys to us but yeah if it aint getting anymore updates that is what will make me angry the most... yeah people can talk about the game in general but does talking about what the dev is doing or what he says worth it? well I refer to the stopping of the game that is a noteworthy subject but giving a comment about " dev is stupid" should be banned its not needed and if there is something beyond that sure go for it as long as it gives a insight that is relevant or fact checked im down.

oh yeah if this game dies which lets all agree on if this game stops getting updates in like a span of a year id stop giving money maybe even less then that if your in need of a update but yeah turn the hose off if you see it being killed my guys and gals its not a bad thing to show the dev a firm response to get him or her ass up from being slow.

I never was much of a fan of his before (I hated his RPGM games) but even back than it was impossible to not come along some of his games and news... and as far as I remember he NEVER did something like this last year EVER before.
His past reputation might be double edged in regards to finishing games with "Happy" Endings... but he never was suspected of milking his supporters or failing to actually deliver.

Maybe he will, maybe he won't, but why be upset about it?

It's past the stage where anything reasonable can be deducted from the last 11 months, since nothing really happened during that time. It is (to me) quite obvious that he has some burnout that he had to get away from.

There is 3 types of fans for this games.
1) Patreons that has been paying for the last 11 months - They are obviously OK with the current state of affairs
2) Patreons that are upset with him - Seriously, they are fools. I can not find it in my heart to feel sympathy for them,
3) Non paying fans - Why are we upset about this game. It's been 11 months?

Personally, I think he will come back and dev as per normal, maybe at a slower rate. I have found that the more money devs make, the slower the releases. Look at Dark Cookie, and Milfy City, even before his absence. Dr Pink Cakes is also releasing updates a slower rate and he was upfront about it. Nothin wrong with it. The devs want quality over qty and now have financial freedom to do just that.

People that are Patrons after all this time, obviously, does not mind the delay and the ones that are still paying and complains are just fools.

The rest of us non payers (IMO) should just ignore this game until an update appears. It's like going to the Dual Family thread and expecting an update...not going to happen.

Personally, knowing of ICSTOR previous reputation on delivering games. I'm relatively positive that when he is back into the swing of things, everyone will forget what the fuss was about. Until that happens, I will just check in once every couple of months.

But we haven't seen an increase in quality NOR Quantity... all we have are empty promisses that have been unveiled as lies most of the time by now aswell

Code-wise, somebody already illustrated how simple it is to render animation files (basically webm files) using renpy. A hunded other developers have done it and I absolutely don't see a reason why the tried and tested routine of playing video files should introduce bugs.

The bug is that Ren'py says file not found (which it quite obvious because no animations were rendered yet)

Yeah it makes absolutely no sense. Worst part is the Dev basically censored his website forums so if you read those forums and not somewhere else's you might think the game is worth supporting.

Really!? After 11 months you are surprised that there is a delay? For me the proof is in the pudding. I believe an update when I see it released. You know how many times Gumdrop promised a release? it's been way more then a year now. I even kinda forgot the story.

I'm actually not a fan. I don't like RPMG games in general and the one game I played before Milfy City, was very confusing to me and kind of Meh...

I enjoyed Milfy City, but the story is actually very ordinary, I don't get the hype. So it's a good game, but there are a lot better games out there in my opinion. His quality and animations are very good, but the rest is just ordinary.

It's part of the reason why I'm mystified about the outrage.

Having said that, he rolled out a lot of previous games, so I he knows how to deliver games. Before this lapse in time he work rate was one of the best out there. Going on that history, I predict that he will return to similar output in the near future.
