Well, here's the thing. I can't really be mad at him for wanting to "create" what he wants. If he wants to make shorter games, and the like then that's fine. Not every game has to be a Summertime Saga. Some of my favorite games are over like "Dreams of Desire". Even without this announcement, Milfy City had to end eventually.

What I am PISSED about is that he's not seeing this through the end. He's making one or two more updates, and then washing his hands of this project. Wrapping it up as quickly as possible. That is BULLSHIT. You have build massive support through this game, and to not at least PROPERLY finish what you've started is plain BULLSHIT.

If you want to do that format going forward in any new games, that's perfectly fine. If people don't like it, then they don't like it... but to drop Milfy City, like a bad habit because YOU created this game to be this long? No. FUCK YOU. Finish the damn game.

Unless you financially contributed to the project, you lack standing. Moreover, those who have financially contributed have so far recieved what they are entitled to. Innacuracy of a projected timeline is not grounds for legal action in and of itself. The product in this case can be freely and legally downloaded, and payment is an opt-in process that the potential plaintiff can opt out of at any time.

TL;DR You don't have a case, so stop acting like a lawyer.

I was saying there was no legal recourse. Verbal agreements don't hold up in court for one. two was saying other characters he never fleshed out were implied to be part of the game at some point. Don't know why people are defending him in his long con. If you don't follow through on what you intended then your game is unfinished/abandoned.

Shouldn't surprise anyone considering his past and the endings of his previous games. I will say that was the best Dev Update post he's made. At least it appears he's being honest with us and himself now.

I'm totally fine with him moving to short games that consist of 4-5 episodes only. ICSTOR never had stories in his games that warranted huge amounts of updates. They're all pretty much nukige incest titles that had full focus on the porn. That's what they are; great porn games, and not great adult games... if that makes sense.

If he knows he's only got 4-5 good episodes to work with he should be able to make some interesting short stories and characters, and more importantly some great fap material. I'd actually prefer it that way, and that's when ICSTOR is at his best.

Still, I would never support the guy again until I see him start following through with this new stuff, but I think this will be a good thing for him. Now hopefully he'll get motivated a bit now that the end for this game is out in the open. Just give a good Sara and Linda update and then the final one, and Milfy City can then come to an end.

And I know people will be upset about it, but still, let's say there's a decent Sara and Linda update, a final update with some Aunt content and an ending or something... It'll still be way better than most of the games on this site, with a hot fetish story that makes for great fap material. Can't really ask for more, and I don't really want more than that in a lot of cases.

... I wonder what the new games Mom, Aunt, and Sister(s) look like? You know he's already got them created ...

No It isn't. Professionalism doesn't include just how many games you made it means working "professional". Being Professional means meeting deadlines, working your bone off until you satisfy your customers, being in touch with your Community etc. Criticizing someone "here" who bans regular supporters and (high tier) just because of asking some questions in their own Community is more than fair. If you say it makes you look "petty" or what else... I mean who the fuck cares in first place. Nobody feels like that. People who know how it works, who worked in real teams / projects and made something, do understand these kind of things better than anyone else.

I'm not sure you get how multiquote works. I was responding to 2 different comments, from 2 different people, with 2 different sets of responses. The comment on professionalism had nothing to do with the response to "he hasn't finished any games", where I pointed out that he had, in fact, finished at least 3 (depending on your definition of "finished" it could be as many as 6).

Now, about "Guys...from these comments I'm going to guess you've never done any professional work, or very little." - the 2 people I was replying to were ripping Lewdlab's comments on professionalism because MP is a mess, with tons of delays. The two things (acting like a professional, and doing a bad job developing his latest game) are 2 different things. Saying one follows from the other is a logical fallacy; specifically a non sequitur.

This game should still get the abandoned tag added to it as even with two more updates he will not finish what he promised when he started the game. There is no legal contract for him to complete the game but he made a verbal one that he does not plan to fulfill.

So no he isn't correct, inserting some weird and arbitrary limit on what is "professional" and what is not does not extend to others giving constructive criticism or calling out bad behavior of another dev. In fact i can understand the frustration of many of the other Devs since they have 10 times the worth ethic and responsibility that ICSTOR has shown in the past year or 2 but he has more than 10 times the patreons than 95% of the Devs on this site. It's a shame because more and more Devs are gonna figure out that they can get away with lots of crap on name recognition alone.

There are many discussions of professional behavior on the internet. Part of it boils down to respect, and treating other people well. Most codes of conduct can be broken down to "don't be a dick". I'm not talking about work ethic, I'm talking about not being a dick. Devs shouldn't be a dick to other devs, because you're giving someone else a license to be a dick to you. Being a dick is not the same as calling out someone who is fucking up. You can call out people without being a dick about it.

My Sweet Neighbors dev hasn't said a word since December of 2018 and he is still sitting at 2000 dollars a month, that's the power you have as a Dev once you build up enough of a recognition and fanbase, so yes i am all for other Dev's voicing their frustration with the ones who are actually being unprofessional.

The problem with your example here is Pandelo has turned off charges every month since he went silent. This has been verified repeatedly in the MSN thread by patrons. But I get your point - dickhead creators who suck in cash for doing nothing (I'm looking at you, Gumdrop) cast a stain on other devs, and is a giant source of frustration.

God I'm embarrassed to ever have given Icstor any of my money. Thankfully I quit when he first started making huge delays, but I can't believe I was dumb enough to think that he only quit IS-2 and MV to concentrate on making a genuinely great porn game.

this same line of thought is what ruins cinema, when people say: "hey, why would you criticize/expect so much from a super hero movie? Its just some effects and cheap action" they forget something really important, those movies make tons of millions of dollars and they are backed by big groups that fund them with millions of dollars too, so why the hell wouldn't I expect a lot of them? Otherwise they are just cheap movies made by ignorant rich guys.

The same happens with milfycity, a lot of people backed and is still funding this project, they have the right to demand quality stuff and expect better quality than has been seen in previous patches

I've said not long ago that he will continue to work on it when most were fretting it would be abandoned, thinking that MC is his biggest cash cow, but man, this guy is downright an idiot for giving up on the game. He will make episodic games and that will change exactly what to his workload? It's not as if every update he posted for MC added content for all the characters in the game. He did updates the same way he would episodic games, one or two characters at a time, and he still used that "burnout" excuse and overshot release dates.

Somewhat disappointed Judy will be left hanging. She started it all and now... huh. Thinking about going full pirate for in-dev games and pay for them when they're done and deserve it. I mean, as long a people don't have the backbone to stand up to this type of scam by continuing to financially support him/them, this will continue to happen and more so, amplify.

Will be interesting to see his support level once Milfy City gets "retired".
