Dev has an interesting poll on his Patreon.

What is the lowest level and score you have gotten for Clara on a playthrough? Not using cheats of course.

I don't think I was able to make it to the party with less than eight.

Just my Opinion of the discussion going on here....
I'm always grateful if a dev or a Paying Patreon shares a Game here in this forum, because I am supporting a lot of Devs on Patreon, and it is Impossible for me to subscribe to all of them, and the Devs know who I am, because I have the same name on Patreon.
If a User shares a Game here then it is up to him and always receives thanks from the Community, that's for sure....but with this Dev I don't share his work because I can feel his frustration when it is leaked after a couple of Days, and with this Dev I feel that supporting his Game is worthwhile because of the regular updates he releases, even though I was disappointed with his latest release Part2_(v16.0), which I would have skipped if I knew this before hand.
This is why I was Disappointed:

thanks for the spoiler, I'd be fucking pissed if I had to pay money for such an empty update.

Dude releases each update for free a month after so I really doubt that without piracy he'd have 0 subscribers.
And where would he host that game you genius? These sites have huge traffic, so great amounts of people lay eyes on the games. Why do these sites have such huge traffic? Because there are loads of games here for free.

No sane person just browses patreon in search of porn games and decides off of the miniscule amount of information the site gives them about the games. No searching by genre, rating, reviews...

With f95zone etc they are getting equivalent of huge marketing. You need to see piracy as the "payment" for that marketing. But most devs just hate having to make that "payment", usually after they garnered enough patrons so they start being iffy about it.

It would still be on here just 1month later? F95 doesn't only host pirated games. You wouldn't even be missing out on anything you'd still get one update a month. If only the public release was on here he would get more patrons trying to get the new version early. We all pirate stuff but just stop trying to pretend you're doing a good thing by pirating a free game when you're obviously not.

It's complicated. Sometimes the marketing on a niche game doesn't do enough to offset the costs of the lost high end patrons that don't sign up for a month, or sign up at a lower tier. F95 absolutely brings people to the table, but it's never a simple pro or con. The game itself is free, the early releases are not. They'll show up here eventually most times well before the public release, and devs often go too far in trying to go to war here. Fact is, the longer that a game takes to leak here, especially when it's only available for higher tier patrons, the better the chance they have of making some cash.

Look at f95 like medication. Too little and it is ineffective, too much and it's poison.

Someone will leak it eventually.

we all remember well how the developer started his journey and carried his first game here on the second or third day after the release for many months, and now he has become greedy for money and sets conditions for people who pay him.
wanting to get paid for your month's work is not greed, lol

but he gets his money, no one leaves him, no matter what day his game is here
devs have shown time and time again that's not even remotely true. in a subscription model, the billing goes out at a certain time of the month, but the early release is tiered. if it's leaked before certain tiers have access, those tiers can unsubscribe, play the leak, and get their money back for a reason like "unfulfilled content"

If we're talking facts, then you don't have a clue that too much F95zone traffic would be ineffective for game development/profit. The theory that too much marketing is a bad thing, doesn't apply here. In any case, most marketing is paid for, and companies that can afford it, pay a lot. But even though you don't know how much F95zone traffic equates to revenue for devs...you are correct, someone will share the game eventually.
Just talk to devs, see how much a difference a day or two can make for revenues in a month when dramatically fewer high end patrons sign up, or accounts upgrade. I also didn't say more marketing hurts, read it carefully. I was speaking f95 as a whole, it is great for getting the project out there, but early leaks can hurt revenues. Both things are true.

Not exactly. Most patreon subscriptions have you pay immediately for the month, if you drop your tier, you are still subscribed for that month. In theory, one could try to cancel via Patreon itself, but that is likely to blacklist them with the subscription they are trying to get in the future. But say you signed up for $1 a month and want to play the new release. If it hasn't leaked here, there is a good chance you will consider upping your pledge for at least the month.

Several developers mention that the earlier something leaks the worse they do during that key part of the month. Now that being said, it varies. Chances are a very small game won't be hurt much, and the visibility here can help. Or a game as massive as, say... BADIK might very well lose out some, but not enough of a percentage to hurt. Middle-low tier is where it gets rough, and those days can count.

This is a pirate board; no denying it. I don't judge anyone for posting an update here. First it would be hypocritical, and second what would be the point? But people rationalize things without having the faintest idea of what it looks like on the dev side. As if downloading a game is a magical boon.

ffs these pointless arguments, that shit spreads some other games too. for instance exciting games leaks about 1-2 weeks after, thats okey. i want to support devs, but I don't have enough money for all the games i like, so I'm okay with waiting for the free or leaked version too.

also some other shits about give money to that or this, no geniuses, patreon really work like this? i am shocked! some people over here dont have spare money for it, and on top of that, they might have several games they like too. if you have that kind of money good for you but stop shaming people at least in a PIRATE SITE.

this is a pirate site stop virtue signalling.

also, on the other side, don't be greedy and have some dignity, guys. let the devs grow a bit. this site is sure a showcase, but these gaps are necessary for smaller devs. this habitat needs f95 and patreon at the same time, for all of us, whether dev or just a fapper.

i like the game and i'm okay with waiting for a free version, but i will download and play the shit of it right away if it leaks too. so, chill a bit.

edit: bracing myself for backlash of both sides. -_-

Honestly, who is shaming anyone? People read way too much into posts saying they don't want to share because the dev asked them not to.

We are all pirates. It will leak when it leaks. We'll play it then, or not.

Hell on another game, no one cared enough to even ask for the update for the full month it took to reach here. A lot of people want this one, so it'll probably show up soon.

now they are complaining to this developer that we would have to say about a wife a mother that takes about 4 months and the updates are short and it still does not have a proper sex scene but nobody says anything about that now we have to wait for the update to come out so let's wait
