If you can't open it then you need to update WinRAR or 7zip to the newest ones.
I downloaded the game in the archive and unpacked it without any problems.
WinRAR or 7zip are installed.
I have problems with unpacking this particular archive, so I asked to put the unpacked file.

Real fun so far. I think just personally I would have preferred survival to be a bit harder and maybe a little less handholding in terms of progression (right now it's fairly "do A -> do B -> do C"), but that's about it. Quite interesting game; actual plot (holy cow), good amount of content ...

Alright. We are back to the normal Monday Updates. The last two weeks went well and I have a good amount of progress to report.

Everything new:

  • I modelled a bunch of new assets. Especially some new and improved vegetation, which you can already get a few glimpses at in the picture above.
  • I also used those models to make all of the remaining tiles in the dungeon. I have now modelled everything in there, it is done. (I think I made 11 new tiles for the tunnels.)
  • Which means that now, that the graphics are complete, I also started working on the writing. I already finished a good amount of dialogue.
  • And I also made a bunch of animations to go along with it.
  • On top of that changes to the screen that allows for switching rooms to hopefully make it impossible to get stuck in the future. (One of the problems that came with the broken android build.)
With the graphics out of the way I am quickly progressing the update on a much quicker pace than I had anticipated, which is cool. But there is still a lot of writing to do and of course, a bunch of scenes to animate.

I already have some ideas for those and I am pretty sure they will turn out interesting.

One thing I have to apologize for is the Devlog I mentioned in the last Monday Update that I never delivered. Sorry about that. I half forgot about it, half couldn't find a topic. Instead of forcing it, I let it be. But this time I actually promise to make one, over the weekend I have found exactly what I want to talk about, so that will come next week.

There are a few cultures where it is bad form to explicitly ask for help with something. The way to get help is to make a lament to no one in particular, expecting someone will get the message. My ex-partner's mother often did this. Her late husband knew to respond to this. Her current boyfriend, not so much.
