Noticing like 90% of this 450 page thread is people asking for modding help.

- BepInEx 5 mods DO NOT work in BepInEx 6.
- BepInEx does not work if you have a special symbol in ANY of the folder names leading up to where you have it installed. This bug was reported YEARS AGO but still isn't fixed (see their repo's

- Some mods (not all) make use of a configuration manager mod. You may have to enable them in said manager (F5 to open).
- download BepInEx (linked above). It should be a zip file, open the zip file.
- select everything in the zip file (ctrl + A, or click and drag over it all).
- move it all into the game's install folder (the same folder with the game's exe file in it).
- run the game once and then close it so BepInEx can load for the first time.
- Put desired mods in the BepInEx/plugins folder.
- you're done! your mods should hopefully work.

Is the complex breeding modpack still working? I tried installing it and it just doesnt seem to work no matter what I do
Yes, both the modpack and the complex breeding mod within it are working. You can refer to "modding" guide in my signature, and notSwedish comment above.
What are symptoms of the modpack not working? Does a text window with logs appear? Does mod set up menu appear?

Someone asked before and i was lucky to still have it.
Press double TAB while having the estate to create a shadow clone of the player.
Complex Breeding is disabled by default. Go into mod options (F5 ingame) to enable it.
Also read the mod descriptions, IIRC some of the mods included in the modpack are incompatible with CB.
Although if this is your first playthrough, note that apparently the tutorial (including any and all dialogues) does not work with CB.
I'm happy to see you coming back on this thread notSwedish. With this, if a newbie with one message on the forum ask for the obvious, your post is going to be the reference xD

From what I can discern it refactors the Pixy-related code to make it more readable and adds a feature to move slaves to cages if their HP drops critically low, regardless of what they're doing at the moment.
Doesn't seem to do what I was looking for regarding Pixy behavior (which is to make them more efficient by ignoring cage assignment), but does anyone know why it was never released?

That heredity-changing mod is quite a fun challenge. Well, except for the part where it's possible to finish the game without any selective breeding at all.
I've been seeing these errors for a while now, when using Complex Breeding.
One more thing I noticed with Complex Breeding is that Salamanders are assigned the default name of "Minotaur" instead upon birth.
This ones created in the genelab are also assigned the default name of "Minotaur", but come with the nickname "Salamander".
Pretty sure those also show up if you have CB disabled. It's just an error that appears occasionally when you hover over a slave that has been in another location. I mostly noticed it for slaves in the delivery room that were waiting for a spot in their cage to free up, but I don't think it's limited to those.
The message just says that there was an error when attempting to draw the line connecting the slave with a target room. Not really that important.
Is there a game out there where it is just human on human? Better yet, one where you are the only one breeding them? I'm really keen on this genre, but I'm super not into male monsters.
There is a game where it's just human on human, but it's not allowed here due to rule 1.7. It's name is really similar to this game's though, so you can probably find it if you search for it.
Not sure about the breeding by MC in that game though.
For general Breeding goodness, search the Recommendations forum for threads with "breeding" in the title. Can take a bit to find a full list though, since there's usually at least one new thread on that genre every week. Most of the time it's the same games recommended though.
I have what seems to be a bug. I had the main character impregnate the NPC sisters Sena&Lena, but no matter how hard I try, I can't get them to move to the delivery room. They don't react to the cursor. I've tried trying to select both of them at once or if I needed a specific improvement, but nothing.
IIRC you don't put them into a delivery room. There should be a button above them that you can click to trigger delivery though.
