Found a minor inconsistency in the beginning. It starts in 1998 and then jumps 22 years... but goes to January 2019 which would be 21 years.... so either needs to change to 1997 or 21 years?

Same save file locations, so should all work seamlessly

My games picked up without a hitch. I also sign up for the dev betas. Nice little surprise with the Morningstar game.

Still very very early for it, but I'll be using the development branch as a test-bed for it going forward, at least until it's ready to Early Access or launch.

What's up with a games and MMA fighters/gym trainers/football players as MC? Who even want to play for some dumb muscle guy, obviously swimming in pussy because of his physique.

I'm actually more curious why there's so many Shotakun 14-year-old college-dropout sleep-rapist games. I blame Big Brother and Summertime Saga for popularizing them. Anyway, that was what pretty much every game was back when I started making Love of Magic, and so I explicitly wanted a character that was more masculine, honorable (yet still a bit of a perv), and didn't need to resort to drugs or hypnosis to get laid.

Why are heroes of many games, or literature from beginning of literacy, warriors? Strong fighters or even superheroes and that kind of powerful males (for sake of this)?

That is real mystery! :D

Think about it and when you have some idea, please share with us.

Here, have some literature where you can find some information.

Beowulf
The Poem of the Cid
Song of Roland

You can even find Arthurian legends here, surprise, right?
The Song of the Niebelungs

Maybe something newer?

Robert E. Howard - Barbar Conan
J.R.R. Tolkien - (probably better seen in Silmarilion)
C. S. Lewis - Narnia

And yes not every protagonsist of those books was swimming in pussy, some of those were more "one true love"
But you can look into mythologies why powerful males attracted ladies. Not necessarily consensual, but still

I think you are biased and many main charaters of movies and books just a regular people put in unusual circumstances.
No one intrested in characters without growth, that are "strong" from the beginning.
And I wouldn't call MMA fighter a warrior, he dosen't risk his life or forced to do this.

WHAT?

Where you got thet MC here is "strong from beginning?
Have you played it? :D
There might be different grow than pure power grow in the story. And I gave you list of some. Some of those even thousand years old.

MMA fighter is a warriorin settings picked. ModernUrban fantasy... Close to close combat based warrior as it gets.
YOu are telling me that stories where protagonist is soldier because of his values is not warrior? Because he can leave army and go farming?

I am not the one who is biased here. That is you...
But OK, something closer.

Rocky XZY movie... He was into boxing, he left to be star in porn industry... The END... He is not warrior, he is just pornstar now.

The first book ever written is thought to be "The Epic of Gilgamesh", with Gilgamesh being the first OP character ever (dude starts off as a king). He grows in that story.

In the Iliad, most characters are already kings and mighty warriors. They still grow during the story.

Most theater plays in greece and rome were about mighty heroes and powerful gods... Most main characters in Shakespeare plays are kigs, nobles, or part of the local elite. Japanese folklore is full of heroic feats from mighty warriors and hunters fighting godlike spirits or monsters.

Sun WuKong is arguably the most important character in Asian litterature and the dude is literaly a cheat code.

The "common man in unusual circumstances" is a fairly new invention in narration and has not been the norm for most of recorded litterature. And those stories still work and fascinate millions every year.

I get that those stories might not work for you, but you're in the minority my friend.

Only in the soon to be defunct "woke" culture could a person convince themself that a story about a dweeb who sits in front of a computer screen all day would be a great choice to write a fantasy about... Unfortunately, it is hard for some to understand there is an order to everything. It's the reason Alpha comes first and Zet last.

A story about a dweeb sitting in front of a computer in a fantasy setting could also work, you just need to find the right story to tell and how to tell it. That's kind of the beauty of storytelling : you can do whatever you want with it. Weak men, powerful men, dumb men, smart men... The more stories told the better whetherI like them or not.

The other guy was wrong on the historical aspect of things, but that doesn't mean "powerful warriors and heroes" should be the only type of stories told.

Also I'm pretty sure that "Omega" comes last in the greek alphabet.

Will there be more "books" to follow BotF? Or do you just have too many balls in the air right now to think about that? I get the feeling that, like LoM, there'll be more content for BotF. There are so many options with the characters to still be discovered and others that are ripe for padding out. Hence why I ask if there are more books in the pipeline.
