I have to agree with you there. Barring some as yet unrevealed reason for sophie's abnormally high level of attachment / possessiveness and lucy's reason for indulging it.

Well, her jealousy, statements like Lucy is hers and Lucy's own suspicious behaviour sure come together to make you think Sophie and Lucy are a couple and Lucy uses the MC to hide their relationship for whatever reason.

Episode one and two were released for patreons on the same day, for anyone else only episode one. Two only appeared here so fast because a patreon probably shared it.

They've been best friends for like 15 years, so she's protective. Woth noting that Lucy has missed 2 dates in 2-3 months. It's only a huge deal because they're back to back. I don't think I get that across too well. As for why she skipped them, now that is a mystery.
the MC is an ass and tries to treat his girlfriend like a fuck doll. That is the reason why Sophie doesn't like the MC, and then he is a dick to her on top of that. Really piss off your girlfriends BF and she is going to talk bad about you all the time to her. Lucy needs to dump the MC and he needs to figure out how to treat a girl right.

It's not just that though, Sophie doesn't appear protective, she appears possessive.
And Lucy treats the MC pretty "dickish" most of the time, of course that could just be her personality, but most young girls who are in love with their boyfriend would probably be more respectful and friendly towards them. And maybe even tell her BFF to back off a bit.
I mean, you know best what motivates your characters, I'm just telling you how it seemed to me after just playing through it.
The combination of Lucy's and Sophie's behaviour sends a message that going from your posts, wasn't intentional.

Damn, everyone on here is so far on one side or the other. Though I'm leaning more in your direction tbh. MC is kinda impatient with Lucy. He really wants to have sex with her and is very confused why, after 2-3 months, she won't even tell him why she doesn't want to. If she were to explain it to him, he'd be far more respectful of it. He still enjoys what they do together and they have good times, he just wants the next level, or at least an excuse why he can't have it.

First of all, don't take my posts to mean one way or another. If you tell me MC is male, I'll tell you why he is female. I'll discuss for and against both sides.
Something I don't think you, or others here are taking into account is why Lucy doesn't want sex. In my last game, there was a similar situation where Sarah had a traumatic event in her past. I know a few people in this discussion have played ShF, so I'm a little surprised no=one's really making that connection. She could have had a bad relationship which makes her cold toward her boyfriend and reluctant to commit to the realtionship. Sophie knows this, and so it very protective of her and wants to help keep her safe and happy.
I'm not saying that is the case, but it is a possibility, as is Lucy being a lesbian.

I don't agree, he is a young guy, his hormones are pretty much still in overdrive, naturally he would react little understanding if his gf doesn't want to have sex with him after several months, outside of tv shows that's not really how most relationships works.
And like Ellaraia pointed out, if Lucy talked to him about the reasons, instead of just being snappish to him, whenever he asks, he'd probably be less annoying about it.
And don't forget, the first thing we see him do is eat his gf out, WITHOUT getting anything back for it.
That's definitely not being an ass to her. She is the one missing dates without giving a reason AND leaving him to clean up "shit" they produced together alone.

They are really background characters. If primary characters are those the story is about, and secondary characters ones involved in the story, then the parents are tertiary characters. They aren't involved much, especially going forward.
I don't like how the MC treats Lucy, but still I think she's mean with him. I thought too that she and her friend Sophie had a thing. But the game is good, makes me hate characters or think about the plot, that's something good.

I think a lot depends on how the MC treats Katelyn. With Lucy the unsympathetic sides of his character are understandable, if he treats Katelyn the same, he's just an uncaring twat.
So far that doesn't seem to be the case, so I cut him some slack for when he's being a dick to his gf who also is being a cunt to him, for as yet undisclosed reasons.

after all..we are only here for Little Katelyn right? Lucy is yesterday's news..didnt like her after the first couple lines of dialogue..so if the dev wanted us to not like her..the dev succeeded..lol...focus on the title character..a couple other games that are titled after the dame have other dames you love(A,HS,LwM)(HAHAAA!!) who the majority of the other dames you want more..this game makes sure you want nothing to do with the "other" dames cause they suck donkey anus
