The story follows almost the exact formula as DMD.

That IS because DMD is the classic vanilla, MC King Fried Tacco Wendy's of D meets F. Which is the classic single-parent mom-raised teenager gets into puberty (rebellious-independence) and seeks the only OTHER person willing to support her no matter what. CHILD SUPPORT PAYING DAD!.
This is as real life as it gets. The reason D is so eager to connect to F is because she wants to seriously disconnect from M, who so far prevented her from seeing her DAD.
The mothers in these games aren't your socially competent 'lets raise them together, two weeks at a time' mothers. These are the obsessive 'She's MY CHILD' gold diggers, who re-marry (statistically improbable) rich guys. So basically they are your unknown son's Evil step-mom and your egotistical ex-wife in on one. Because, if they were nice moms, they would allow her daughter to see her dad as often as possible, would be really supportive of her daughters independent life choices and would make sure dad is a significant part in D's life.

So basically the mom from 'Parental Love', which is the OTHER possible game type. F visits D and mom is awesome with it. There are only so many REALITY tropes you can base your story on to make it realistic.

What would be another way of doing it? F meets D, D meets F, mother yay, mother nay.
Mother critical existence failure like in 'Our Fate'.
F and D happen to meet and didn't know they existed? How would they recognize? They wouldn't, so Shadow Incest? That would be a particular fetish.

this game engine sucks balls sacks! its pretty much up there with RPGM....no save retention? if I was playing on a console where achievements get recognized I`d replay it...but on a hentai game? :FeelsBadMan: I already gave up on the fate of irnia, summertime saga becoz----SAVES. *sigh looks like this game is next on my not to play anymore list...I`m giving it until the next update after that....but if my save is not carried over then I`ll just play huniepop instead :eazyHype:

Exactly this. This is what is wrong in 99% of the games. It starts with the Character everyone wants and then in the middle it just adds a random bunch of characters ( niece, boss secretary, cleaning lady of the boss secretary...) who nobody gives a fuck about, just to pad the game and add a bunch of updates

Ok, but what exactly is a Dev to do with such a limited scope of game then? They would have two options:

A) Release a pretty short game with longer time leaps in between scenes and actions (unless they go the stupid route and make it basically a porn logic game: "D meets F, sees his virile masculinity and succumbs to COCKMAGIC TM in basically no time) to keep a relatively sane pacing.

B) Make a longer game, explore the change in relationship, play with teasing and pretent normality for a long time. This will result to no and/or very tame sexual content for at least half or more of the game length.

I am personally quite ok with both, but lets be honest and imagine the amount of bitching each of THOSE kind of games would get. You can't win this.

Adding a few other characters can be an easy way to give players some sexy time and some variation, without having to rush the "main course".

Having said all that, I do agree that it can be way overdone, even for people who are ok with that latter approach. DmD is of course the most egregious example.

The save is stored in the same game folder has the program and can be copied into a newer version. Tyranno build isn't the worst. Still, in this case the developer decided to make a 'standalone 20 questions' version.

I disagree. I wanted the aunt from day one and if there is a daughter-auntie or Daughter-aunt-mom harem ending i would aim straight for it. 'Vanilla D-only' should be the main route but not the only one.

DMD needed all those additional characters because the D is just an empty husk of a person. I stopped playing DMD when i realized my dream harem would be: The Co-worker, D best friend, her best friend and the nudist Incest couple WITHOUT the protagonist D.
You could rename the game DWD: 'Dating without daughter'.

Ok i just tried that game.

And it is Allready WAY better than DMD ...

Animations are smooth and good to look at, Daughter doesnt look like piece of plastic, and it is very nice overall.

Too bad author is rushing things a little bit too much (although I apreciate a quicker pace than DMD), and he should not make so many cliche's in the story, almost directly coping DMD sometimes ...

But I am realy looking forward to following this game, which I cant realy say about DMD anymore.

Lots of things I can agree with posted in the last few pages, but the one I'm surprised no one has mentioned is, why the hell do we sometimes have to click on Sara to advance the text? Killer when you want to click with your right hand on an Enter key and your left hand on your... you know.

Dev split the game between days 1 - 5 (v0.4) and day 6+ (v.0.5). Start a new game but you'll get questions about what you did between days 1 - 5 and you'll jump to day 6.
