As for the word Baka: I think it depends on who says it and in what context: I would definitely expect it from the Weebs, since it fits coherently with the personalities of the two. From Lucy I could only imagine it fitting when the MC possibly starts to date the two and she teases him a bit.

As for the bulge issue: I strongly assume that it's all about the quick fap and for the developers, if you can call them that, it's about the quick buck. But since the graphical quality is almost always lousy, I ask myself: Why play something like this when finding porn is much faster? My only explanation is too much money and a penchant for masochism.

For me personally, such games are the Michael Bay movies of this genre. Breasts in focus, a lot of wiggling around and nobody has the slightest idea what's actually going on.

I think the problem is also that some of the better games are more sophisticated in their writing. What are the characters' strengths and weaknesses, what is their philosophy of life? Another problem might be the question of where you want to go with your story? It is very easy to write yourself into either a dead end or a writer's block. Not to mention potential holes in the plot that you don't notice until it's too late because you can't see the forest for the trees. Not everyone is born to be a writer, but if you still want to try, you should definitely get other people on board who have a different view of the matter and can inform you objectively if something doesn't make sense somewhere. Here is then again the problem that either the writer could not be able to criticize or surrounds himself with yes-men who only say what the writer wants to hear or the criticism could be brought forward absolutely unobjectively, of which the writer also has nothing.

MNM is very good for me so far in terms of writing style and you can tell that Killer7 has evolved since the early days of MNF. I'd argue that you can also see that well in the interaction between Lucy, the MC and the whole family dynamic, which has improved greatly: In the beginning Lucy was very passive and tried to hide her features and her mother would never have thought of making cat jokes about her. Makes sense, of course, since Lucy was not yet able to accept herself as she is at that point. Accordingly, you can see a massive development or build-up of self-confidence in both ladies.

How come every time I go into deeper thought processes that I then fabricate an extremely long wall of text?:poop:
thats because you can see both sides of the story and also see with hindsight what others are trying to do with the VN not everybody can see what others can see like you said " you can't see the forest for the trees" but i can see Killer7 clearing the forest first then do the writing

You're welcome. As for the writing, a lot of it goes back to being an active D&D player and DM. As such, I find it very exciting to read the different settings and compare them to each other. What I think can also be very helpful is to look at reviews of adventures and see what is considered good and especially what is considered bad or difficult in those adventures. Of course, not everyone is really good, but there are a few gems. Especially if you have now perhaps no one who reads through the own plot developments, whether you are not somewhere over the goal. Another risk that happened to me myself and sent me into writer's block: You want too much at once and afterwards have no idea how to connect it. In general, I see (A)VN as something in between classic novels and a pen & paper game with a player. You can be freer in your plot and give the player a certain amount of influence on his environment (unlike in novels, where you are just a spectator) but you also can't sit down with your players and see what topics are a big no way (unlike in pen & paper, where especially new groups should do that or even to a certain degree in new adventures). If you don't do the latter, then you can very easily scare people away because you lose interest in the product or trust in the dev.

From this point of view, I see MNF as a relatively linear "adventure". You can decide for yourself how big the hero's story will be and how his relationship with other characters will be. Linear stories are often criticized by people for being too restrictive and meanwhile celebrate sandboxes, which often have a lack of consequences and depth in characters and story. For me personally, Lucy and Fiona from MNF are interesting in terms of depth, as they both seem pretty crass at first, but then show their good hearts and character development as they go along. In MNM, especially Jessica and to a much milder degree Sarah are for me so far the characters that had the most development or potential to do so and seemed pretty intense at first. John's mother will also probably be someone who will make some character leap.

( To whomever said the Fiona route was something...............special ), ty, I was sceptical at first, ( because of the domina persona ), which leads me to a question, ( and this is to whoever went far enough with her ), does the sexual route exclude the friendly route, ( meaning if you picked the friendly route, does that mean friend only and no sexual encounters with her )?

True. That's why she is my favorite character in the game. I like all of them, but she is the best one.
I'm trying to figure out which game I want to add to my signature. It's a tough call. Perhaps if I find a Lucy pic that really speaks to me.

The top route leads to seeing every scene (except the Tanja pet route scenes) the general progression for Fiona is: Domina->nothing/ambiguous->friend->fuckbuddy->girlfriend. So being her friend is the first step in the rest of your relationship.

Lol, ( don't get me wrong, I knew right away that she was kind of a domina by the way she demanded to see the MC's family jewels ), but I never expected to love Fiona as much as I do, I mean, sure, she's demanding, but, I didn't think she'd turn out, ( from my own perspective mind you ), the opposite of a domina, ( and lets not forget that I even fucking teared up when it came to the scenes between the MC and Fiona, in fact, I've been smiling, laughing a few times, but the game's been tearing me up from the start ), not sure if its the scenes alone or if its in combination with the music, I mean, this is beyond a AAA game as far as I'm concerned, ( and I honestly thought "Incest, fucking hell I hate incest", but in fact, the normal scenes between the characters made me forget the sex scenes, and I don't mind the taboo thing anymore honestly, ( well, lets be honest, the sex scenes and the taboo theme in the game isn't completely gone ), its just that, the game is so well done that, the sex scenes and the taboo theme has taken a backseat, so calling the game a well done job doesn't even begin to tell how I feel about the game, anyways, I'm glad I didn't take the friendzone route, lol, ( yeah, so, sue me for liking it more than I should, ( and no I mad the MC take a "Fuck that Tanja bitch, I couldn't give a fuck about her" path, simply because I don't much care for people like that in real life, people that, bully others just to make themselves feel more powerful, to feel good about themselves because they have some personal issue, ( might sound cold ). .....But, had Tanja been more, ( you know ), towards Lucy, Melissa, Yvonne, I would've liked Tanja more, but because of her behaviour I just left her in the dust, that's why I didn't make her into a pet, because she wasn't worth even being called that, ( god I really hope that the dev doesn't stop continuing with developing the game ), because the game, wow.

Just one more question, ( that BDSM roleplay scene with Becca and Fiona ), is that connected to anything, like the main story, and Fiona, romance perhaps )?, ( fucking hell, the MC Lucy proposal scene, either I'm fucking ballin' again, ( or I'm getting too old and too sentimental, yeah, way to go, lol ).

No, but it's just a nice roleplay scene. If you don't do it then you won't miss out on much content afterwards, just some dialogues you won't get.

I know what you mean, and I felt very similar at first. If you haven't already and have a save from around then, I would recommend going back and running through Tanja's 'redemption' arc. Typical Killer; it is well done and worth the run through, even if you don't keep her on your main play run (I actually ended up keeping her).

Right? Killer has mastered kicking you dead in the feelz. I never expected an adult VN to make me need a fresh box of tissues every update (for sentimental reasons anyway), yet here we are.

Right, and, ( not sure how much left of the game there is ), it's not even a full game.........yet, ( and I couldn't agree with you more on that part ). ......And no, I'm not referring to just the type of game genre this game is, it doesn't even matter if it is a genre like this game is, all I care about is that the developers care about what they are creating, ( because if there's one thing I HATE, it is, weather they're well known, unknown or new, developers, not caring about what they're doing, ( and if you've bee around long enough, then you've probably noticed games all the games that have been abandoned, or rushed because SOMEBODY created a deadline, a release date ), and I think most of you have experienced what that is like, but when games like Blooming Love, WVM, Good Girl Gone Bad, Our Red String, My New Family, Bad Memories, and Where The Heart Is, come up, or games like What Remains Of Edith Finch, Horizon Zero Dawn, Layers Of Fear, it gives you hope that, there ARE developers out there that care about what they're doing, ( whoops, sorry for the ramblin', lol, just had to write down my two cents about something I love doing, playing games, good games, great games, amazing games ).

I can only speak for Killer7 and rec now, but I'm very sure they both care about what they create. Killer7 shows it alone in the amount of content that is shown in updates at both VN and almost border on (positive) madness. Another indicator is that both actually always respond when you show that you clearly care about their works and characters.

And I think especially Killer7 is actually very happy about the player community that has been cultivated, especially the extensive posts and speculations would be in Pen&Paper standards a clear indication that players are interested in the plot.

Well, I see it this way, there are those who really care about what they create. ( Killer7 being among them, ( who, imho, listens to people who give their honest opinion about what is they are doing wrong, what they're doing right.........as long as it isn't negative critisism ), then there are those that 'care', ( basically those who do a half assed job, ( not saying some of them care, but they don't care enough to do a good enough job, ( which again shows up in whatever game they're making ), and then there are those who only do it because of money, ( don't get me wrong, you gotta earn your living somehow, but, when it becomes all about the money ), it also pisses me off, simply for the fact that, it paints those who genuinely care about their work, in a bad way, which imho is unfair, that's why I, ( IF I can ), support those who have a passion for what they do.

Just finished 0.20, ( and yeah, proposal to Alice was.........kinda cute, I guess, ( don't get me wrong, each of the proposals were, unique to say the least ), but the best one imho, was the proposal scene with Becca, anyways, ( just wished it was already a full game, lol, so sue me, :) ), can't for the next updates, I'm certainly looking forward to them.

.....One last thing, a few questions: 1. How far is the game from being completed/finished?, 2. Characters - Tanja, ( now, apart from Fiona helping you with dominating Tanja, is, ( and this is just me wanting to know in case I have to start a new game, as I most likely have to start a new game since I didn't know about Alice's pregnancy route ), is Tanja, ( is there anything beyond making her a pet, ( not that, because of what she did to Yvonne, Melissa, and Lucy, I want to have anything to do with her, but, just in case, is there anything with her beyond that? ), Melissa, Fiona, ( who probably IS a part of the main story, but I have to ask just in case ), Celeste ( not sure why, but despite Ida being an ok character, I'm a little bit sad that, so far there's no 'potential girlfriend/couple' thing with Celeste, since I think Celeste is better than Ida? ), Yvonne, ( even though, during the game, I'm starting to feel sorry for her, she just rubs me the wrong way with the "I want to watch you have sex with Sandra", it's creepy, and not to mention, disturbing, that's why I won't date Yvonne, that, and Yvonne, in the looks department, no thank you, she just isn't good enough, so, am I missing out on something in the main story if I choose not to have anything to do with her? ).

........And Dianna, ( just hope that, in the future updates, there's going to be more scenes with her ), now, on to Kiara, anything on that front or, is she just going to be a friend of the family, ( or rather, only be the family's doctor )?, and what about the 2 weebs, ( yeah, they're like "Oh no, not those two again", but honestly, they DO interest me a little bit )?, and what of Fiona's assistant, ( the girl who asks you if you want to have coffee with her, is she a part of the main story, or, is she someone that I can skip over without having to start a new game? ), and what about Sandra's friend, ( the girl you and her meet during their vacation ), because she looks like she could become an interesting person?

Ps! Apologies if these questions are out of line, ( as we most likely won't know until the few next updates, but I was just curious about the characters outside the family, and any possible future relationships that might happen, ( lol, so sue me for wanting to know ), anyways, again, my apologies for ranting on.
