Another week, another progress update!

Yesterday I was able to release Beta 3 for My New Family 0.22 which means I'm now halfway done with the update. So far the feedback has been pretty good on the things I've been doing and I really hope you guys will think the same once the final version comes out!

I still have to do a few side girl events that finally brings the MC closer to some of them. He has some sort of date on the third day but they don't get that much closer there...That is something I definitely want to do for the next three ingame days, though! And of course I have a little lewd surprise planned as well.

Now I want to talk about something that I said last week regarding a decision you will have to make in the next My New Memories chapter. I got a few messages from people that were worried it would be a "live or die" situation. No, it's nothing like that. But it will be a decision that will define your future path in the game more than it might seem. It's pretty simple, actually: If you make the "right" decision then your path to deal with the situation regarding Anna will continue, with the help of your family. If you make the "wrong" decision you will fall back to the behaviour that is not really the MC - the one where he wants to do things alone, even though he has people that care for him. The consequences will be pretty big, something I haven't really done in a game yet. It will be more than just "missing content" if you make the "wrong" decision, I guess. That's all I'm going to say to this for now. You will understand what I mean once you play it! Todays render is just Sabrina lounging around!

And I think thats it for this week, at least in terms of the games. There are some more personal things that will happen this week for me but I'll put these in a separate post if they end up affecting work. There will be a teaser post this week as well with some renders for My New Family 0.22, so stay stuned for that! And of course, stay awesome!

Given the fact that the patch is only one file that can easily be removed and the fact the patch works without a problem it's easy to say you did something wrong.....

Post an error log.... my crystal ball is in maintenance...

It's not rocket science...
You download and unpack version 0.14 when you want to start a new game.

The incest patch is only one file:
lovetime.rpyc and that file belongs in the subfolder "game" of My New Family.

You can also download the walkthrough mod for version 0.14.
The mod contains a number of .rpy files. These files also belongs in the subfolder "game".

That's the same procedere with most Ren'Py games.

I......gotta play catch up with this game as I haven't played it at all in the last year. Thankfully I still have the save folder for it (don't know how) despite uninstalling it to make room for a few other ones but I'll get back to this awesome game after work

I know im late in picking it up (which isnt always a bad thing since you get more to read at once haha) but honestly Elaine doesn't really.. vibe with me. I wouldnt and dont want anything to do with her. at least as of Chapter 5 She would have to do some real power changing and even than harem excluded *shrug* Fiona has the high ground ;p - I hope my desire to really not want her in my Harem.... doesn't somehow exclude the other girls from the story or scenes though?

But also wanted to say great reading so far thank you for the hard work

Been there. Full disclosure I eventually forgave her and welcomed her in... unlike that bully Tanja... anyway I get what you are saying :)

Maybe I will (do as you did that is) or not.. not really feeling atm.. Maybe because of how I felt for the MC (I know there is plenty to her actions etc ) but .. everyone else is treated one way even his sister (alice) and he was treated a complete other way. Which is why everyone has to be away because shes going to 'test' him by intentionally upsetting him and possibily resuffacing his own traumas etc. (I suppose my only point in this ramble im doing is that when you have to drive everyone else away even those not related to you... You probably aren't doing something nice or the right way and she really didnt that would have been one breakfast id have skipped out on)


Ah and as for Tanja to me she felt like a person the MC literally rebuilt into a 'nice' person sort of? Thats why I was willing to give her more of a chance because well she was literally emotionally destroyed (not saying did or didnt deserve more just that it occurred so its kind .. Original her and New her are different people maybe?)

But I am curious if I could exclude her and not ruin the game experience with the other girls? since I didnt think all the girls had their own routes yet based on what I read.

Another week, another progress update! This time it's a little different, though.

As you probably noticed I decided to include the teasers for 0.22 in this progress update. Last week has been pretty stresful for me with real life things ( had a few appointments ) so I didn't really have the time to prepare a post. Sorry about that!

Work on 0.22 was also not going as planned, but this will change this week. While the first three days of 0.22 focused more on one girl each day, I want to bring a few "household" events back for the following three days. So, expect some ginger time, expect some time with the landladies and of course, some time with the household. My plan is to release beta 4 this weekend for patrons.

I also worked a bit more on My New Memories Chapter II ( because I was starting to get a little writers block for My New Family ) and finalised some more dialogues for the morning event of that day. It is pretty interesting for me to work on things and events I never really thought about before. My New Family and it's already established story doesn't leave room for certain things that I can still do in My New Memories for a while - especially with a Main Character that has a very story intensive background ( even though he doesn't remember it at the moment ). There are quite a few things I want you, the players, to find out about the MC. A little more personality is what I would call it. He has been more or less pretty passive during Chapter I and in general, mainly because it makes sense to let things "Happen" and see how they "Play out" when you are going through the things the MC goes through. Now that he is becoming more himself again he also has to face a few difficult decisions he made during his life - And this time he is alone, more or less, since Anna can't help him that much at the moment. She will still be there, of course, but can't help him in person when he faces certain consequences of his actions. The confrontation with Jessica is one of those examples you already saw in Chapter I. And there are quite a few more, so I can't wait for you peoples reaction to that!

But I think that's it for this week! I hope these teasers will give you small glimpse on what to expect for 0.22 and I'll do my best to release a beta this week. Stay awesome!

Is it better to play this game on your first time through without the walkthrough mod? I've played it before a few times and only gotten as far as meeting the MC's sister on his dad's side.

If I play without the walkthrough, will the experience be enhanced? in terms of will the choices be difficult without it? I might probably have a good sense of what to choose with each individual.
