Im not sure what gave you the "thoughtful" & "well done" impression cuz it was arguably just as bad as this update in term of quality. If you check SoTN's post about bugs then its about as much as this version.
An actual "thoughtful" & "well done" product wouldn't be a buggy mess that 0.86 turned out to be, its clearly a rushed update & BoN didn't even bother testing it after he implemented. Which he has all of the times in the world to do cuz he NO LONGER HAS A RELEASE SCHEDULE.
And now if you're talking about story specifically, i already explained in one of my post a few pages ago how the last update made no sense in the gang story cuz of how friendly Warren is towards the MC when he is NOT IN THE GENTLEMEN. Like imagine you're friend with a boss but you can't even enter his house or his club. Its clear that BoN wanna make the game Gentlemen focus so the gang decision was utterly pointless & it should've been save up for MNL2.
As for Lucy, she is more of mix reception. Some likes her update like you, some hates it due the 2 mini games that wasn't really necessary & feel like BoN put in just to drag the update out for longer play time (the virus & neuron mini games). The repeated flash images of Lucy fantasied about the MC, this is good for the first couple of times to develop her character but now those flash images are just geniuely annoying cuz those are images from scenes everyone have seen before & it constantly being brought up whenever Lucy felt horny, which doesn't convey a feeling of excitement for manjority of players, rather an annoyance.
Oh my God!!! What does it have to do with bug's in v. 0.86 at all??? Did I say that there are no bug's??? Yes, this game suffers from bug's from its very birth to one degree or another!!! You have to go through it being preserved at almost every step. I don't need to ask SotN about bug's, I know about them perfectly well and have written about it more than once. And in general, I did not pass the second part of v. 0.86 until the end three months ago, because when passing I encountered a bug in the main door of the house. The continuation trigger did not work, and the two friends of the addict did not enter the house. I was in no hurry, and postponed the passage, naively hoping that with the release of v.0.87 this bug will be fixed. NATURALLY, nothing was fixed. Yes, it was unpleasant, but if you want to play this game, then you have to put up with this state of affairs. Therefore, when you write about problems with bugs, that they are not fixed, that there is no schedule for the release of updates, that the releases of updates are delayed, take longer, than before, etc., then I FULLY SUPPORT you in this. What's the point of you writing to me about it???
When I talk about quality, about a well-thought-out and well-made product, I first of all mean the elaboration of the game plot, the development of storylines, "playability" and saturation of the gameplay, etc. Yes, I am one of those players who should be interested in playing the game in the first place. Yes, and I put it at the forefront.
I have already explained that the friendship of MC and Warren is not a new technique. Beggar has already used a similar technique - friendship of MC and Nesrot in the original game. It didn't hurt anything there at all. It's just that instead of a gang of hornets, he now has a gang of gentlemen. Well, let's say Warren is the leader of the gentlemen, and MC is in another gang. And what of it? They're OLD friends, ever since before Jack lost his mind. Well, Warren asks an old friend for a favor. Or vice versa. What's the big deal here? There are plenty of such stories in life. I have already written several times that dev constantly uses old tricks, resorts to old proven tricks, so to speak. To put it even more simply, he seems to be hanging out with an old greasy deck of characters, stories, situations, etc. What I mean. For example, in his original game, Maria was a nympho. We find out about this when MC overhears Jack's conversation with Warren. And just this explains her sexual behavior towards MC. What is not present, for example, in revamp. By the way, this is one of the reasons why I say that Lucy's story is a good story. Here he didn't have "old greasy" tricks from the original game, here he had to work a little.
