Asking someone to do the bare minimum as a developer, and communicate with their audience, deliver updates when they say they are going to, and not be an asshole is not a "demand".

Like I said, I agree with all that.

I simply disagreed with your statement of it being a "product they are paying for".
And that, as an artist on Patreon, he's simply under no obligation to do anything that is "asked" of him by his patrons.

If the consequence of his behavior means he loses support, that's on him.

And as for it not being a demand, there's a fine line between asking and demanding,
but this being the internet and reading thru the comments here,
I assumed there's not a lot of "asking nicely" being done

How can something like this happen? putting in a plug in that DESTROYS your entire game making it unplayable… Also why does he say he needs a couple of day and then straight after he says he is releasing it at the end of december. There is no way his discord is quiet and people are calm, I would be fumming if something like this happen. Kind of obvious. Or you invest good money in your game building a good team (Coders, etc.), after all, this is the main way to earn money. Or leave it to the moths.

I think there is a word for it : where someone irrationally defends something they have a lot of investment in. Its similar to StarCitizen fans who have spent thousands of dollars backing the game and still cannot accept the fact that 10 - 15 years is a bit too long for a game to be still in development. If anyone knows the word for this behavior please let me know.

Star Citizen is the biggest scam in game history. Game is in developmemt for 10+ years with funding surpassed 300 fucking million dollars and game is still in early alpha stage. That game will never be finished, mark my words.
