The guys didn't choose anything. Majority chosen the option: a couple of updates in order to finish the old game and then start a MNL 2. In fact, the guys just played "a shell game". Revamp of the original game is entirely the initiative of Beggar himself and only God knows what he was guided by there. Perhaps he was visited by creative inspiration and he embarked on a slippery slope of alterations. Personally, I think he just has nothing more to offer his fans: the creative burnout and game is dead.

Money is always a factor, so I wouldnt dismiss that.
But, the main reason for the revamp was for him to keep track of the bugs so they could be easily fix. The OLD had to much bugs he didnt know where to go and fix and to much work. IMHO thats BS. But to each his own. This revamp game was made linear in an attempt to track gameplay and in essence bugs. But you guys can judge on that outcome. Just my brief 2 cents on the matter. I wrote in detail about this long time now in the thread. Not worth the effort to repeat.

The revamp aint bad (linear sucks though) but like WOMANpukumaru said, which I also said in my detail response, MC mother was far superior in old version, thick for days . That alone give major points to the old

finally someone else agrees that the old version of Lucy/Dr Robson is better. That’s the one I was waiting for

Well, in general, he did it all the time. For example, when he was asked: dear friend, why are you redoing the characters and design of such characters as Aunt Maggie, Nesrot, Morgan (a black guy is a friend of MC), Laura, etc. (add to this list the characters you liked from the old version of MNL that were changed by a caring Beggar), then you got something like this answer: You don't understand a damn thing about my game. I'm an artist and that's how I see it.
Okay. Now anyone who has played the old version of the game and Revamp, can compare and evaluate the final result of the work of the Great and Ingenious Beggar Artist (there is a long prolonged applause)!

he asked if they wanted a bugfixing update before releasing the final update (which ended Lucy's quest). After the final update he would have started releasing MNL2.

The guys answered: of course Dude, you need to fix those gamebreaking bugs.

Answer: going to school fixes nothing the quest line should state go to football practice a lot of times until you make the team. Edit: this fix jumps the story far where things happen and nothing makes sense JJMAV gave me a online save editor to skip the game bug and continue the story

Problem: sarah sent lewd text saying "come find me" with a countdown timer. the picture shows tile walls so searched all bathrooms, chem lab, pool locker room and football field changing room and NOTHING.
Answer: the bitch is invisible in the first floor bathroom just gotta click around. bugs are so dumb im just about to give up.

• the game brings lucys book of faces page up since we don't have it as we aren't even close yet but it pops it up which is helpful and it says ADVANCE IN MARIAS QUEST...christ give me the fucking strength.
• so going to maries BoF page and it says "im going to have difficulty puruing maria if im still living with my father. maybe i should focus elsewhere and just let things happen for now"....so guess just hang around the house to "let things happen"?

Answer: there are four shiny places in the principles office while a person is present and offices no dialogue. the shelves say nothing of interest is there however the BoF school quest line changes to fashion store now. JJMAV with the assist

Problem: School BoFs says go to fashion store and nothing else.
Answer: the regular clothing store won't work however the store in the mall (triggered at 15:00 or 3:00 for 12 hour clocks) progresses lucys story as if a date...when and how that progress i have no idea

Problem: have to find the microphone in principles office however this bug has been there since 2021? and can't be found

It’s just that…I don’t think anyone really knew what he meant when he said that. Like a monkey’s paw.

that’s why it FELT like the supporters chose revamp over sequel cause that’s basically what ended up happening . At the time I was baffled why people decided to have him focus energy on an old game when a new game was coming.

over time(it’s been years…I don’t think anyone expected that) my recollection of events changed.

so it’s not your fault…just…make sure you don’t have a monkey’s paw next time you ask for something please? Sigh

Edit: After getting the shiny glow, go to the fashion store at the mall, will trigger Lucy quest…
Edit: The quest that trigger was not supposed to be made before the gang choice (you will need the new house to continue). This game is all bugged.

yeah theres 4 shiny thing to click while the principle is there and each says "nothing here" then when i run around some more it refreshes so guessing i need to trigger something else first and then the office is my next objective but so far couldn't figure it out
EDIT: fuck me it does change the BoF's quest line but does absolutely nothing involving the story! thanks for the assist bro!

I don't know if this is a bug but whoever can help me with this one. My quest says, "TALK TO SANDARA AT RECESSE TIME IN THE YARD", but when i go to her the quest doesn't start i click on her and a heart pop up saying "WANNA SKIP CLASS" which doesn't help me at all seriously it's got me frustrated at this point.
