I have the same thing. I tested and it the Anal ahegao scene that does it for me. I went back to an older save to confirm. I am ignoring that quest line until someone has a fix.

I think you have the 0.96 version which doesn't have Carmen quest. Download the new one and start over Carmen's quest.
The book asks me to keep going to Carmen's house and walking around her house to get to know her better, but is that okay or do I have to do more than just see her in her room?

The file has a different name. Find it in the specified path and rename it as in the game.

In my play through, i did the same, i pay the guy 30k,but the quest keep repeating over and over so just have a sex with Carol when the guy asked you to, after that steal the camera the guy used to record you and Carol Making out.
