Very misleading game. Molly was a sweetheart don't get me wrong but for crying out loud at least give the player options. Chasing all of this pussy for no reason only to be forced with very limited options.
Dev did listen to all our suggestions.Wait! Did you just bring Acting Lessons as a case of developers listening to "suggestions" . Ok.....
Also with games like this that are developped in episode you are basically forced to go after every girl or you will be blueballed for months, when it is not you girls turn to get some affection that month.Sure, there's a moral lesson there, but come on. Aside from this being a porn game where guys who sleep around still end up getting with at least one girl at the end because it's all about fantasy wish fulfillment, there are loads of guys out there in the real world who do this and still end up on top; assholes who get reputations for sleeping around still have girls falling all over them, sexual assaulters get off scott-free because they're powerful and connected, and serial adulterers become world leaders. They're not good people, but the fact remains that you can be someone who sleeps around and uses women and still have good things happen to you whether you're a total d-bag or an affable yutz like Taylor.
Plus, the whole "he gains a reputation as a cheat and women avoid him" thing is, to me, another one of those expediency-over-satisfactory parts of the story that seems to undo a lot of what this story was about.
Since when does donating also include an entitlement to demand the dev change their story to what you want? A donation is simply a means to help a dev offset the costs incurred in creating a game. What happens if every person donating wants different and/or conflicting changes to a story?Entitled? If devs don't budge on some things to make patrons happy then they will stop supporting them after all not doing what the person paying them wants but expecting to keep getting their money is so far beyond entitled....
True what you say, but people have a right to also stop donating when a charity does things with their money they do not agree with.Since when does donating also include an entitlement to demand the dev change their story to what you want? A donation is simply a means to help a dev offset the costs incurred in creating a game. What happens if every person donating wants different and/or conflicting changes to a story?
If someone has not made any sort of financial donation why do they think they are still entitled to demand the dev make changes to the story?
When making a donation to a charity does that include an entitlement to go to the head office and make decisions on how the charity operates? No, of course it doesn't, so why do people think that donating to a game gives them any sort of entitlement above and beyond those already outlined by the dev.
Why are people acting all surprised at the ending of this game? The dev has been more than clear as to how the story was planned to develop for quite some time now. Nothing wrong with being a critic and offering an opinion about your thoughts on a story, but everybody is a critic and everybody has an opinion. *shrug*
I'm just assuming into the wild here, but I think (and parts of the dialogue in this update support that impression) that this feels much like (from Sumodeine's perspective):Here is my opinion. Take it or leave it.
It's difficult to end a game well. My biggest gripes about the ending in no particular order:
1) There are 2 endings not counting forever alone. Nikki & Molly.
2) Molly endings are done fine, but Nikki endings lack sex scenes with Nikki.
3) The mom shows her ass off, and flashes her tits during breakfast... Never get to hit that. Fuck her friend for the fourth time though... I mean come on.
4) No threesome with Molly & Nikki at the end
5) It appears to open wider than it closes. It opens up like there are 3 girls you can chase after (Jessica / cory) when in fact there is only 1 molly).
The developer clearly wanted to move on to the next project. So they were stuck with 3 options other than working on them in parallel.
Option 1: Abandon this project, and start the new project.
pro: Instantly start new project
con: bad rep of abandon project
Option 2: Continue this project just long enough to wrap it up as fast as possible.
pro: End the project successfully not abandoning it and get to start new project pretty soon
con: not the best closure possible but something at least
Option 3: Continue this project until it is filled out extensively at the end adding more and more content closing.
pro: people are happy with the ending
con: the new project is delayed for possibly a year or more
It's understandable that the developer chose to close it the way that they did as it would probably take at least an additional 6 months probably over a year to have closed this game with all of the openings. Frankly, the prison girl is the most interesting character to me, and to start a new game with her as the lead is going to be great. I just hope that she is the protagonist and not that "Mr Johnson" whoever the fuck that is.
Whoa there sailor there is a pretty big difference between patreon and charity. What goes on between supporters and devs is a transaction not a donation. When making a donation to a charity does that include an entitlement to go to the head office and make decisions on how the charity operates? No, of course it doesn't, so why do people think that donating to a game gives them any sort of entitlement above and beyond those already outlined by the dev.
It's a one sided transaction.Whoa there sailor there is a pretty big difference between patreon and charity. What goes on between supporters and devs is a transaction not a donation.
Actually a donation is exactly what it is.Whoa there sailor there is a pretty big difference between patreon and charity. What goes on between supporters and devs is a transaction not a donation.
There's not much of a difference between patreon and charity.... you give money so someone could do something you don't have a share of. Charities let you attend events and/or list you among the donors, devs on patreon add you in the credits or give you roles on discord...Whoa there sailor there is a pretty big difference between patreon and charity. What goes on between supporters and devs is a transaction not a donation.
Nikki was never getting an ending. Dev made that clear from the very start. No Nikki no real ending. Good job at fucking up your game. Acting Lessons 2.0
