You can do it manually if it doesn't work.
Go to renpy\common\00console.rpy
Edit it, go to line 107-108 and change "config.console = False" to "config.console = True"

Nice but really really short. The 70 LP threshold with the daughter is pretty high too. I had to go back to a Chapter 5 save to get it, and it looks like it will be even harder starting from scratch as certain choices give fewer points.
Seriously, though if the Mom isn't fucked by next update I'm calling foul. Still incredulous that they didn't bone at the end of 0.5
