i am not new here and mine is only guess.. 4 months per a update maybe seems normal to you for me not..
I see this type of mentality so often here and it's sad.
The dev is making less then 500 dollars a month of this, they have to support themselves so they aren't working on this full-time on this and nor should you expect or demand that they do so.
Unless they are like Gumdrop that earns almost 10k a month and yet can't produce a update in almost 2 years, people shouldn't really complain.
And I say the same here as I say to people complain in other games. Are things taking too slow? Then join Patreon and pledge to the dev. Every bit helps to one day them being able to work on the game full time.

I SURVIVED!!!!!!
Hey everyone! I am back! I am really, really sorry for suddenly disappearing for a month without any news. Even though I know I have not been the most active Patreon around, but I have always made it a point to update at least once every 2 or 3 weeks. But this time, I truly did not get a chance to at all, the reason was that for the past 3 to 4 weeks, I have been bedridden in the hospital all this time =(

Earlier this month, I started suffering from severe stomach pains and high fever. After heading to the GP, they immediately sent me to the A&E of the nearest hospital. I was warded for suspected appendicitis. But it turned out that that was not the case! After almost draining me dry of my blood for countless tests, they eventually found out that I was suffering from a strain of typhoid. I had picked up the disease after a short trip to a neighbouring country last month.

As typhoid is a contagious disease, I was immediately send into a separate ward for isolation. Just like that, I spend almost 3 weeks in a hospital ward, plagued with high fever and continuous trips to the bathroom. It was the most horrifying experience of my life as I felt so weak and exhausted that during the first 2 weeks, I seriously felt that I might just die anytime.

Fortunately, my bouts of fever started getting better towards the end of last week, and I started to be able to take in food orally again instead of getting my nutrients from the tube. I was finally discharged from the hospital yesterday and I finally had a good long sleep in my own bed after almost one month.

Even though I am still recovering my strength having lost almost 15 kilograms, at least I have access to my PC now and I have 1 more week of medical leave from work. Therefore, I am trying my best to finish up what is left of the next update so I can upload it before I go back to work. I am really thankful to have survived this experience and I am truly sorry that I was not able to update you all sooner. I will work hard to deliver the update before the end of next week.

Once again, thanks to all my Patreons for sticking around even though I have not been updating. You guys are the best!

Cheers!
DW

PS: Some teaser images coming up! And also this month's image!

so he was in hospital, also another artist broked his arms and was away from the pc for months and epoch is in jail... I guess that there is some spell or is it just bad luck?
I dont know,a lot of these Devs have health Issues, I believe that there really are some of them with family or health issues, but if you check out Patreon, this health issue thing is a epidemic in my opinion.
I believe I had a couple of them that I quit supporting because they never came back because of this.
Just my Thoughts.

Yeah, makes you think that being a Dev is dangerous for your health.
Well, in general, dependence can be quite the opposite. I.e. it's not about that they have health problems due to what they are doing, but what they are doing is in some way related to a rather weak/unstable state of health and physical state

So, we have here banal question of genesis.

I am not a game dev, but write fiction as a hobby. For most of my life, I was a very healthy guy, only a few typical childhood illnesses and the occasional cold. 3 years ago a sneaky sickness hit me quite surprisingly. I knocked on Heaven´s door, three heavy surgeries saved my life. The docs are amazed how well and fast I recovered, but I will never be at my former 100% again.
Having lived through this, I know it can hit you suddenly.
I believe most devs here is talked about were/are truly ill, but there will be some healthy ones using this unfortunately as an excuse for delays.

Yup I got hit with something nasty last August and I was in an induced coma for more than two weeks and I know I will never be 100% again either. The docs told my family that if I knocked any of the tubes I was hooked up to out or pulled them out I was finished. They told my brother twice to start making phone calls because I was going to die. I am still here. I think my recovery was aided by bad hospital food as I couldn't get out of the place fast enough. Any of us can get hit with pneumonia + sepsis at any age. I am lucky to be here. I write a lot of fiction for fun as well. I wrote a lot when I was recovering from the pneumonia and sepsis. I didnt have access to my PC for like three months and writing everything on my phone was far from ideal especially in a hospital where there was a crap signal as well and I had virtually no internet.
