The game is fantastic, and Faerin is a master at his craft.

I've been following it since the very start, but that's a little bit disappointing. I was hoping for a LOT more content with the guests, some group/orgy activities at the finale, and ideally some pregnancy payoffs. I guess we'll see what happens.
Never say never. We don't even know what Faerin's cooking up for the final updates.

I am sure I spotted Ashley from MOTH (Dee from DMD) on a poster in town ... not had a chance to go back to check though
Hmm, I've seen this occasionally but I gotta say that, while I see some similarity between Ashley and Dee, there are way more cloney Dee-alikes out there IMO.

I agree, each one reflects the artists own vision of the prototype and each share certain identifiable characteristics. To be honest, I found MOTH because someone listed it as having Dee in it, although my favorite in that universe became Veronica.

Now that there is also a G8F version freely available I am sure we will see many more variations on a theme

Well, there are some games which intentionally give a Dee clone but it is intended to be that - as an hommage or as a parody. Some abandoned postapocalyptic game the name of which I forgot, Sugar Daddies, most notably certainly Sunshine Love but since that is also a Mr Dots game it probably shouldn't count.

Yeah, there are many actual clones of D out there, in this case, it's mostly just the hair, though likely started with the same base model, they are less similar than most.

So looking like next month will be the big ending? Curious what it'll be... MotH had all those endings seeded over months which you chose via dreams, but I don't think he can do eight different endings one for each girl in a month... And a ninesome harem ending sounds like it may be too much

For the next game, which is looking like the Fantasy kingdom game unless the patreon poll was a massive swing in the other way somehow, any idea how long it will take to start getting updates on that based on how long it took for this game to start?

Given Faerin's work ethic and all? Whenever it's ready.

Some of the girls had some back-story for why they ended up at the Hotel, like Hana, but (pretty sure) all of those have been resolved.
Don't think any of the girls have story arcs which require, or set-up specific endings.
Seems that there is only the main story left to be wrapped up.
So that's presumably what it'll be.

Possibly, but what about my future with Annika?

In the root folder of the game where the executable file and key.ini are located.
Thanks! I ask that the mod post be updated with those two pieces of information so that these questions never need to be asked again.

I also wonder, however, if the game is bugged. I can't get past the title screen. I click on Settings, get the audio cue, but the page never changes. Is this one of those games where you have to start it first before being able to access Settings?

You're welcome and that's no problem, I can do that.

No, it's likely one of several things that would cause that to happen, but in order to provide a clearer answer to resolve the hanging, I would need to see your player log. Use the Windows + R keys to bring up a Run dialog box and paste the following:
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Faerin Games\Mystwood Manor

You may need to upload your player log in a zip file.

There's a few things you can try that should resolve the problem. The first thing I'm seeing in the log is a DirectX error. So let's start there first by downloading and installing . The next thing you will want to download are the latest all-in-one pack. Download the zip file from the closest mirror site to you, then extract the files to a temporary folder (which you can delete later) and run the included "install_all.bat" file.

Another issue I'm seeing is the path to the game. It is a bit long (though under the 256 character limit set by Windows). Move the game's folder out to C so that the path is "C:\Mystwood Manor v0.9.2".

Lastly, Intel GPUs are notorious for not being able to see any of the animations and sometimes renders as well. Because it's older hardware, it's likely not going to be able to play well, if at all. So what you may have to end up doing is: going into Control Panel >> Device Manager >> Display adapters and disable your Intel GPU. If it works, the animation will appear "choppy" or "lag", if it plays at all. If you are able to play it, you may need to disable "Play videos" from the Settings screen.

Thanks, but that's too much bother just to play a game. I'll just move the folder to my external harddrive and, if I ever get a newer computer, I'll try playing it again.
