wait what ? there's no way this is completed. I played like 2 updates ago and there was close to 0 sexual content
1) It is complete. Though there is one more update (along with bug fixes) that will be out on the 28th of this month (the one in OP is NOT that version/update).
2) Sexual content starts at around tier level 3.

I'd appreciate it if someone who played both this and Man of the House through could share what the similarities (in terms of gameplay length, vibe (romance/corruption), endings) and the main differences are.

Did the mom get more sexual content? Last I remember was the car sex scene

Couldn't finish it, the rewards for me didn't worth the grinding involved, too bad.
Story mode.

MotH was a sandboxed VN.
This one is much more focused on actual gameplay (Hotel Manager). But, keep in mind there's a 'Story Mode' if you want the brain-dead experience :p
So, it's a bit hard to compare the two.
But, I'll give it a go with the questioned you asked.
Length... dunno. Never kept track of time played on a 'full run' with either of them (Although, I only played MotH twice and never finished it)
Vibe... MotH was typical 'creepy kid' porn game. Although I'd say it leaned more romance then (coerced) corruption. MwM.... It's basically 'Magic Mist turns everyone's hormones up to 11'.

Ok.. We reach the end of another game :)
(Mystwood Manor) is a hit and miss for me. And this is why..

Basically this game tries to be 3 different types of games in one.
1. Management game. Running your Hotel.
2. Story and puzzle solving. Adventure.
3. Adult, Erotic.

1.
This is missing a lot. I can't hire staff. I can't teach who i want to work with what i want. They keep running out of energy and for whatever reason can't work full day shifts. I, the manager and owner, have to help all of them with the most simple tasks like telling my waiter what to bring a paying customer. (I pay my staff for this) After they become VIP my staff can serve them. Hmmm I find no logic here honestly. I give the Management a Score of 2/10.

2.
The Lore, Story and adventure part, is mostly just text and reading. Sure you have to visit the right place at the right time, but it requires no active thinking on my part except looking at the progress bars and try to be where the game tells me. I do not expect a Monkey Island. But i never got caught in the story at all. In part the User Interface/gameplay is to blame here. I will come back to that. My Score 2/10.

3. The Models are fine and as in all games i have my Favourites and others have there's. Animations don't really do much for me personally. It is still just animated and whatever Erotic feeling i may get, i have to make that mood in my Mind. So.. I liked the Renders and Models overall. I was drawn by some girls but failed to emerge in there story because of the Game format. The very problem for me i am trying to adress in this post. My Score 6/10
- - - - -
I know.. It is not Sandbox game where i can go to any girl when i want. But i felt i had no choice in anything. Every story for all the Staff and Guests was railroaded by the pre scripted story. And my biggest problem trying to follow the Story is the User interface and interaction with the Girls. I have 8 Girls i want to progress with and the only way to follow this progress is .. Click Staff, The Girl, Progress and the (!) to see what is next. Same if i want to see what gear and such a girl is using. 4-5 clicks for every thing i want to see or follow. - I miss a simple extra 2 buttons over the Portrait on screen with a P and G. Clicking it should bring you directly to the Progress, or Gear Tab. And that is obviously just about game play. I might be old .. But i forget what part in the progress i am with every girl after the last choice i made o_O

In conclusion.. I find all the elements clunky and not working well together. In a Vanilla play through i realized i had been wasting all my time on management and keeping mood up and Tarot cards and gear in order for no reason at all. There is no reward for running your Hotel as the Hilton. A second rate Bed & Breakfast will have the same effect.
Based on the Scores on all 3 i end up giving the game as a total of 3.5 Stars.
On a Side note i can mention i gave MotH a Solid 9/10. My only regret with that game was.. It Ended :)

That all said i hope you understand my only wish is to give you feedback. For those who loved this game i am happy.
I can secretly wish for a MotH 2.. ;) (Or anything similar)
I wish you the very very best with whatever your next Project may be (y)

It's almost like a kinetic novel wrapped in a bare bones management sim. Though to be fair I don't recall MotH having much in the way of actual choices either.

I think the management side turned out ok, if you got the wrong guests in that meant your workers clashed so some ended up out of stamina to work, then that's down to your mismanagement. There are things to help you if you just try a bit harder to look for them like the cards and place them with the right characters, some cards even give you the opportunity to place stamina cards with some of your workers so they use less energy or regain more energy when resting.

I know it can be a bit of a drag, but it's worth not rushing and just try making some money to makes things easier, work out which cards help you the most and go for those cards first.

So what's new in this 1.02? Did all in 1.01 and couldn't find a changelog for this one, so is it just a bug fix?

I was all excited, thinking it was the Halloween update already.
But no changelog, so probably just bugfixes?
