Reading the discussion, I'd say there is way more to becoming a girl than just having sex with guys. Since NBNL is a slower game with more of a slice of life tone than just a continuous orgy, that give us some space to explore the daily issues of suddenly being a girl mixed with being 10 years younger again. Instead of going for the traditional angle on both sides we wanted to mix those 3 points and try to explore the daily struggles of an "old" guy trying to pass as a younger girl, so the transformation angle instead of just going dick crazy 2 hours after becoming a girl goes to the guy trying to adapt to his new life, the fact that people will interact in a different way to a hot girl than a guy or the fact that he now menstruates (V0.2 spoiler, I mean not graphically, but is an event) and he doesn't get what the hell is happening until he sees the blood on his pants. For the part that she was a slut and now after the body switch is a lesbian, I tried to put many times in the game that Nicole's body do react to guys but the MC feels as of a morning wood, he is horny but no emotion or need attached.
I know is not everyone's cup of tea, but having more variety in games is always a plus

but the mc in this game wasn't always a woman, if u get thrust into a new body and hence a new way of living i would assume u would want to explore that new way of living, experiment a little learn what new things u like and what if any old things u do or don't like anymore, not every body is the same going from in this example an older guy that seems more conservative into the body of someone that was a slut now that would be a total shock, u wouldn't know what u still liked or disliked until u tried it.
i am going to come out and say it i am trans, i have a biologically born male body and i want to have a female body and am sexually attracted only to other woman, but i can't say that if i was put into the body of a female that was previously a slut for dick if those sexual preferences would hold up and stay the same or not, now i would hope they wouldn't change though (yea call me a hypocrite if u want but i like options in my slice of life games).
i care about this game because in a way i see myself as wanting what that mc has/gets, i relate allot to them, now i haven't been as active as i should of seeing as i just paid for the game for a while and left it to develop and didn't participate in many if any polls (but really what is one vote against the popular opinion going to do?) but that doesn't mean i don't care about the direction it is going in and i am sure as hell going to voice my opinion on what i want from the game regardless if that is popular opinion or not.

Nicole's body reacting to stuff it's relevant, on the original there was going to be a point in which you'd have the option to have sex with guys, on the other side in the remake we'll have 3 futa so that would be a compromise between MC's mind and Nicole's body. Now for MC trying to fit in, he was in his early 30s, in v02 that would be here around next week you'll see how he tries to adapt to younger people, the university life for a second time and being hot.
Btw v0.3 is almost ready, there MC will have to deal with some consequences of Nicole being herself.

Kinda sounds like you went on a journey of self-discovery before/during/after writing these posts. Grats on coming out as trans!
It also sounds like you might still need some more self-discovery, because even though you've said that you're only attracted to other women, it seems that there's some underlying curiosity about relations with men.
Another word of advice I might give: please don't look to a magical genderswap pornography game to validate your identity. Especially one in development that doesn't look like it'll exactly go in the direction you really want.

Pal as we have said there are many differences between men and women from which the game can be guided,
for me sexuality is something that is in the mind and is not a "preference" and can not be changed the only way for the mc to have curiosity with men is that when he was a man he also had them, so if Nicole's body asks for dicks then the mc will look for dicks in a body he/she finds attractive (futas or trans). And also women can have children without needing men we don't need to find "the right guy".

The confirmation of Futas alleviates my concerns allot on that front (they may not be biologically male but a dick is a dick, and imo a futa's dick is even better).
The confirmation of no biological males in the remake after it somewhat being hinted at in the original hurt what i was expecting and i apologise because i overreacted allot about it, i forgot about the futa content that in the original i loved and overreacted even more because of it so i am sorry.
My suggestion of there being a rape scene still stands though, i would love to see how the mc reacts to having such a horrible thing happen to them and how they turn to their new friends (or frenemies) to deal with such a thing since the old Nicole probably wouldn't of cared much about being raped (and that would also cement the fact that the mc wouldn't ever want a relationship with a biologically born male to the audience).
But if the majority still doesn't like that idea i guess i am OK with it, from what the dev said about the next few updates it only seems to be getting better and better, although i will always miss the Koikatsu artstyle as i still feel that fit the story better and was more unique (seriously the amount of Honey Select 2 games out there with samey looking characters is way too many and i hope NBNL doesn't get hurt by this change in the long run) but that isn't going to change so i will deal with it.

yea that is really wrong/fucked up, using a religion to sway voting even if u have the best intentions is just plain wrong and especially the way he did it.
My Great Grandmother was a 7th Day adventist Christian and she would of probably had a fit if she heard that story, i myself also spent 10 years at a Christian private school so i get it even though i am not Christian myself (the school kind of pushed me away rather than got me to believe), i was enrolled there because i had been bullied in kindergarten and prep but i still ended up getting bullied at said Christian school (maybe they just knew i was trans/lesbian all along long b4 even i did, who knows) and the school wouldn't do anything about it so i was glad when i finally graduated and went to college.
i do hate to think what my Great Grandmother would of thought about me being trans/lesbian had she still been alive to find out (she died b4 i figured it all out which was only in the last 5 or 6 years), but then again she was also a pretty understanding person regarding homosexuallity even though it went against her beliefs as a christian.

In v0.1 there is already a futa scene and there will be scenes with biological males, but not involving MC Nicole. I mean other girls might have sex scenes with guys (skipable) or you'll find videos of old Nicole. For the rape, I don't think Patreon would allow it (I think they can allow it as long as the MC isn't the one committing it) the same goes for other things like incest in which the original game was in weird territory too.

For the art style, I get everyone's point but as I said, the engine change was for me to get re-motivated and feel like this is a whole new game (with more or less the same story and characters) so I can address the core issues. On rewards to being too many HS2 games, at this point the quantity of HS games and KK games are more or less the same and when I started with the original game there were various KK games, so that's why I changed Nicole's color scheme to the one you know, original Nicole had slightly lighter skin and closer to blonde hair that was to close to most of the main girls of other games. I can't think of any other HS/KK game where the protagonist is a dark skinned with dark red/pink hair girl.

Can't say I'd be big on a rape scene personally... maybe if it was girl-on-girl and less grim? Nicole takes a wrong turn into an alley in a shady part of town, gets fucked by a girl, and walks away thinking it wasn't that big a deal actually, just maybe annoyed that the girl didn't even ask because she would've been down for it anyways.

Wow, there's has been some really strange conversation up there for some time.
I guess it's more or less relevant to know if Nicole is going to have sex with male or not. I guess it's a maybe? Depends on the gameplay and the dev's plan. I'm fine which either (prefer lesbian thought, really... we don't have that much REAL lesbian games and/or scenes here).

Now i do expect Nicole to engage with the futas (and/or trans, knowing the dev a little, i doubt there would be any trans, but i don't know) given some time. It's obvious Nicole's body has a huge libido and our mc has trouble controlling his urges in the new female body and if mechanical memory is a thing here it won't be longe before she buys herself a dildo and afterwards go to the futas.
Only then i think males becomes an option, a slow development and acceptance of the new body and new situation. I don't rape is going to happen (maybe?). But i guess it will depend on the level of corruption the mc has too. Still going to wait more updates to get a more clear picture.

Love the game for now, i was a fan of the last game visual design more than this one but i'm still having fun. Keep on the good work!

Some of the characters new to this version are interesting. I assume they're kind of replacing some of the old version characters, maybe even combining some of the old ones that felt too similar in purpose or personality? Shirley in particular feels like a combination of Julie and Alissa.
I recall one of the goals for the rework/remake was to cut down on the amount of characters Nicole would be regularly interacting with, but I don't know if that feels like the case even as early as v0.2.
Off the top of my head, the girls are:

• Elizabeth, Sienna, Rebecca, and Lola from the home (4 characters)
• Lisa and Dr. Taylor from the hospital + Mia, since she's the doctor's daughter (3 characters)
• Anri, Daniela, Jenna, Emily, and Marina, all met at university (5 characters)
• MayNyan from the stream (I don't think we've met her "true self" yet in this version? so I'm counting her as one)
• Shirley from the random city encounter (another 1)
• Cassandra and Monica from [guy-who-turned-into-Nicole]'s past (2 characters)

Adding them all up that's 16 characters, and there's certainly some variety to the girls, but I'm just worried this version will fall victim to feature/scope creep and you'll get burnt out on the project.
I guess at this point it's still far less characters than the old version, and I'd say the way they've been introduced or integrated into the story feels a lot better. I hate to bring this up again, but as long as you can avoid another "clusterfuck of a ton of girls from different plotlines all brought together" like that multi-day beach house event, the game should be fine.

(And please, for the love of god, can people stop bringing up the Koikatsu graphics of the old one?)

Buddy, you're in one of the most unfitting threads possible to be asking that question. The whole premise of the game is built around the main character adjusting to her new female body and dealing with the consequences of the girl who owned the body before.
