Can agree to this. Because if they even gave options to go both Lesbian and straight it would mean both routes would take forever to go anywhere and would end up with 2 half assed routes instead of 1 good.

Well, it would because they would be devoting their time and resources to a route most of their playerbase aren't interested in so they aren't exactly going to put max effort in there are they?
Also it would piss off their playerbase and have them questioning why they are devoting this time and resources to a route most of them aren't interested in and making them wait longer.
Then we consider that the original was mainly lesbian based with a few side fuck guys most of their player base gave zero fucks about so didn't really change much and we have to ask ourseleves .... why are you still arguing over something that isn't going to change?

I didn't say it had to be strait, as i have said think about it, b4 the male mc became Nichole she was a strait female that just so happened to be a slut that slept around with allot of men, it just doesn't make sense if she suddenly became a full lesbian, how many of the guys that were getting some from her do u expect would give up on her just because she is a lesbian not? my bet is at least one of them wouldn't take it so well and would want to get her back because that is just how allot of men are it would hurt their ego and they wouldn't be able to except that.
so based on the background the story has given it should happen, as I have also said I have no problem with it being a mostly lesbian focused game but if the backstory sets up some strait sex between the male mc now in a female body I expect it to be there otherwise the male to female transformation is not necessary in the slightest, tbh there is no way with the story of the original to salvage it to be full lesbian because that little fact that Nichole was a slut b4 she "died" just ruins any chance of her leading a proper lesbian lifestyle after the hit on the head as at least one of the type of guys she had slept with is going to want her back and wont take no for an answer that is just how most men think.
and on that 1st part I am not complaining about a lack of dicks in a lesbian game I am complaining about a lack of dicks in a male to female transformation game, if the game was about a lesbian woman trying to have lesbian fun with a bunch of woman that would be absolutely fine no dicks needed but NBNL isn't solely a lesbian game and that is the point i am trying to make, if u want full on lesbian content with no dicks then imo the story needs to be rewritten to more support it and not have a massive plot whole that suggests it shouldn't be fully lesbian.

yea u see I am one of the ones that did give a fuck about that kind of content, I even paid/am paying still for that kind of content so who gets cheated if that kind of content isn't included? me hence why I am so vocal about it not being included anymore.
i gave them my own money to the developers with expectations that the main character would get some dick eventually, now that is partially/mostly my fault for expecting it but with the genre of the game and the developers not ever b4 the remake saying there wouldn't be any how can u blame me for not being angry at this new development, and as I have said b4 this niche genre is my favourite one that has very few good games in it and I want to see this game be the best that I know it can be regardless of what the popular opinion is.
if the developers continue with this majority rules then I wont be supporting them anymore and I know they won't have a problem with that but I will be sad to see such a beautiful game ruined because the majority of the fans wanted it changed case closed.

Reading the discussion, I'd say there is way more to becoming a girl than just having sex with guys. Since NBNL is a slower game with more of a slice of life tone than just a continuous orgy, that give us some space to explore the daily issues of suddenly being a girl mixed with being 10 years younger again. Instead of going for the traditional angle on both sides we wanted to mix those 3 points and try to explore the daily struggles of an "old" guy trying to pass as a younger girl, so the transformation angle instead of just going dick crazy 2 hours after becoming a girl goes to the guy trying to adapt to his new life, the fact that people will interact in a different way to a hot girl than a guy or the fact that he now menstruates (V0.2 spoiler, I mean not graphically, but is an event) and he doesn't get what the hell is happening until he sees the blood on his pants. For the part that she was a slut and now after the body switch is a lesbian, I tried to put many times in the game that Nicole's body do react to guys but the MC feels as of a morning wood, he is horny but no emotion or need attached.
I know is not everyone's cup of tea, but having more variety in games is always a plus

to me, id say go with the current path..,(though easier from the start than after..,) if people still want it, implement new path afterwards.., since as basic and bare as it seems saying it.., youll get more noticeable "support" that way at the start.., even though there are those that payed for everything the original had, getting a part they liked cut out..,
on a slightly different topic..,
i just got through my first run of the original..,(seeing as things where going to change, felt like going back to see if i liked the changes.., and well as the spoiler on the first page said.., that fusion used as example wouldnt know what to think of that.., since those tend to be separate character archetypes, but eh.., thats just my view, and i aint the dev.., ~since i cant really get the idea of her being that way, changed to> that way, but is made to have a secret which doesnt seem to match someone who only really focused on education.., probably easier to see it as no longer `helen` helen..,~)
but seeing as i got through my first run.., id say its obvious i didnt get to see everything that was on the original..,
a Nicole~The one we follow~ probably could open up new ways of being themselves.., if as it said at somepoint in my first run, a balance between the two..,(certainly opens up alot of possibilities, but i get that means nothing if people dont want or see the point of it..,) ~but i like the idea of the old nicole getting some of the more neutral parts of her recycled by current nicole, while the clothes dont make the person~others may judge but who cares for their assumptions.., paints more of them..,~ would be nice to push back on her negative ~muscle memory~
all that aside..,
i liked the potential the game had(even it parts that where changed/cut)
but all in all, am enjoying what is in the game atm.., and like i typed before, time to sink into this remake, as i did for a bit with the original an hour or so ago.., Best of luck on development..,(though id like to see what you mean by a mix of the two arts before.., if its eventually both being switchable that be nice, but like i said with excessive quantities of images, probably alot of work to ask of a dev to do..,)~time to follow this and see where it goes, and hope Variety is Variety, and not "Variety"~

Dude, cut down how long your sentences are. Those are some insane walls of text you got going on there. I understand English might not be your first language but sheesh that's a pain to read.
I think it's funny that you'd consider the game ruined by what the majority of fans want. At that point you really just gotta give up and accept that it's simply not for you.
Especially for what is actually a vaguely more realistic take on "straight man is suddenly a woman" trope. As a cis-het dude, if I woke up as a woman with my mind intact, the thought of "well maybe I'll try getting dick from a dude" wouldn't even cross my mind.
Dude there are many things that differentiate being a woman, as the dev said things like menstruation, or wearing different clothes, makeup, and how people treat us differently, lesbian sex is different than straight sex and is something you can only experience as a woman.
many women have never had sex with men nor do we plan to and that doesn't make us any less of a woman.
I also gave my money to the dev, (buying their other game on steam) and I look forward to the continuation of that game. the dev gave the option to vote for the focus of this one and the majority voted to keep a lesbian focus, you may not like it but this is how democracy works.

If you supported them as you claim you did then you'd know the original was mainly a lesbian game. There were a couple of side fuck guys hardly anyone was interested in so it's a waste of the devs time adding content not many people want. It makes sense, as it does in all forms of business, to make content the majority enjoys.

I liked the original version of this game, I am now looking for more of that type of engine of games. I don't know why this had to be remade in the first place. Maybe that engine is not good to work with but......I just don't know why it had to be remade specially in a different engine.

I keep seeing people complain about the new engine, but I honestly prefer it. Honey Select 2 looks fantastic. Koikatsu is alright, but more cartoonish.

I don't know if I answered that in here, but the real reason is when I started remaking the game I tried to retain KK, but it felt weird taking the old material and putting new text and changing the code of the game. Turns out that I was going slower and slower while losing the motivation to work on the game.
So NBNL was more or less dead for a couple months until I started playing with HS2, remaking the characters for fun one thing lead to another and the remake was back on track. So the game didn't need the engine change but I needed the change to feel like it was a real remake instead of just fixing a mess.
Bonus points for the fact that Nicole in the remake has normal height and butt on her new model, because I made her original model in KK very fast and without comparing it to any object.

I mentioned something along these lines before, but if you ask me Koikatsu stuff tends to look... unoriginal? I think it's something to do with the fact that while being a freeform, moddable character creation & posing tool, everything made with it is going to end up looking very similar to each other because of the very specific (yet generically moe) art-style.
I think HS2 avoids this by having a more realistic look, and while you can still easily recognize different things all being made in HS2, there's more variety in things like facial detail, body shape, etc., while also avoiding the "uncanny valley" look that 95% of everything made in Daz3D has.

It's the glossy or blur or depth of field look that puts me off HS2 engine now. VR Kanojo has the best engine by Illusion that I want hentai games to be made of. I don't know if that is the same engine that runs their new Shoujo AI game or it is a early version of the VR engine. That engine has the look, feel and color without the issues I listed. Actually my issue would be the lighting in these porn games, specially when HS2 engine feels different in lighting. VR Kanojo feels like hentai game RTX without having RTX. Though it feels like money was thrown on that game.
