Either the dev or dlsite does not want to publish the game with the unity engine mosaic because people can remove it, hence why he has to redo the sex scenes now. Today I started a game of Night of Revenge. I always suck at it before and never got past a couple levels. But today, I play English translation for the first time so I know what's going on with stats and everything!!!

I try my very best from the beginning. Me and Aradia, best friends, killing monsters and rescuing innocent girls!!! I try as hard as I can, keep studying how enemies and bosses behave, figure out how to beat them, protect Aradia better and better so she doesn't get hurt, and make sure nothing happens to her!!!!

Aradia and I made it through defeating the inquisitor and getting to the Slums without being assaulted at all!!! Aradia has virgin status and 0 counters in everything in that column.

I'm so happy I could cry. Me and Aradia, best team, killing demons and saving the innocent. I will never let anything happen to her. Yes I still suck at the game so I died soooooo many times to the bosses, learning how they work. But I never give up and keep trying!! And I feel evil sadistic desire in me but fuck no I not let it pervert my friendship with Aradia!! When I die I spam press button to make sure Revenge Goes On before anything happens to Aradia!!!

She is so sweet and awesome. I love reading her dialogue for the first time. I just noticed she is ambidextrous!! And her glove instantaneously changes hands when she turns around.

I hit level 40 and put every single point into Strength, and stick with the Witch's Blade!!! Aradia is so strong, just going against all these big baddies swinging her sword very hard

I'm so proud of Aradia. And she's so nice and noble. Me and Aradia, a nice team!! We alwaya do the right thing. Sometimes we backtrack and come across giant guy we already beat, who is raping girl. It easier to just avoid and progress, but no, not on our watch!!!! He is raping an innocent girl, and we will not stand for that. We go and take him down every time!!!

Aradia has everything to be proud of. She works so hard and does so well. She has skill in so many different weapons!!!! But we stick with her original sword.

considering how popular this game will probably end up being kagura might end up interested in it. other then that worst case scenario the game has bad messy mosaics baked into the images we could always hope some artist mods in de-censored art
if the community cares enough since most of the lewds have been released already, port the old ones in while getting creative with the remaining unreleased five to ten percent.

Doubt it. Dlsite is simply adhering to the law and that's about it. They DON'T want people to lose interest in the game because that means lesser profits and that's more important than anything else. I guess they are simply scared because of some recent incident with easily uncensored game that was linked to their site and that's the whole story.

I guess we can't have nice things in life so my last hope is that while dlsite version is fucked beyond repair (with mosaics applied directly onto sprites), at least other releases will be "fixable" with an old style mosaic mechanics. You know, because "unity mosaics are far superior"

I don't know much about Unity or Spine. But does remaking all of the scenes with mosaic directly on it would make it difficult or even impossible to decensor it?

From what I know about DLsite is that when they're anticipating a highly selling game they're generally really eager to get it reviewed and pushed through as soon as possible - but one of the problems with with NoR appears to be that the censorship isn't hard baked into the game's CGs or animations - the pixelation is done after the images are produced via the game engine, which appears to be what DLsite is saying is the problem as people can still access the uncensored image.

They are, of course, arguing that to see the uncensored image you would have to go into the game files yourself, and that because modification of the games files are not permitted under your licensing agreement that it shouldn't be a problem, but they still appear to be taking some issue to that. If need be, I will presume there will be a more censored DLsite release, with either a patch or a steam version free of censoring. It's not like it hasn't been hard for modders to uncensor this game specifically in the beta, so I doubt there's much difficulty in the full release.

As for release times, DLsite generally tends to have turnarounds of as little as 24 hours since submission. I can think of a few games that've been put through very quickly.. And let's not forget that with a steam or alternative platform release on the horizon, those tend to be free of censorship anyway.

I usually didn't mind the little mosaic censor that much before since I could still use my imagination to fill the gap or use community de-censor. But this is just too much! Delaying my precious nutting session and wasting the dev's time.
That stupid censorship law can go to hell and who ever thought and made up that law can have a chronic lumbago.

The law was made in 1907 so there's a pretty good chance the person that made the law is super dead at this point if that makes you feel any better. (however, it was amended in 2011 but only so that media that didn't exist in 1907 also have to follow the law like recorded videos and of course games)

It sucks that they’ll have to have them do a bit more work for the release but according to the last tweet from the developer it seems that they’ve found a way of doing it at least. Hopefully they’ve gone from the shock the site gave them to “let’s get this shit done” mode.
It’s lame that it will be harder for an uncensored version but I’m sure that eventually one will be out at some point whether it’s someone putting the work for it or the developer finding a way to release the original build with the unity censorship.
