Aye, I think we really need a new save in this thread. The last one here is from 0.37, I think.

New events are for the tall, dark and lanky enemy down in the lab while the other is for losing and surrending while on Pilgrim's Road.

Hello guys! Anyone able to get past this scene? All the game allows me is to fight over and over. There are like 2 set of choices during the event, so I've tried all the combinations but still getting reset to the beginning of the event. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Nothing else to do, its just a repatable scene. Once the game is finished it will be a one off, though it might be put into the recollection viewer at that point.

So, I don't know what's going on.
I've posted this on the other thread for this game last week, but I've not actually gotten any substantial help. Or, at least, the problem still persists.

Whenever I boot up the game, I reach the main menu and nothing else. I couldn't select anything but new game. My mouse fails to move any cursor when in the menu and the game doesn't respond to anything I try with my keyboard and mouse. I don't know if this is consequential, but I also realized there's no BGM.

Thus far, I've tried:
Reinstalling. (Both versions 0.34 and 0.42, multiple times)
Reconfiguring the input in the launcher.
Running the game with a Japanese emulator
Running it at all graphical qualities and resolutions (this one was born out of desperation, and I did not much expect it to do anything.)
EDIT1: Deleting the D-lis folder in appdata/LocalLow

I am not entitled to aid, I realize, and perhaps this game simply won't work on my computer, but I would very much like to try it. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you very much if you spend more time trying to help me.

Not sure if it'd help but there's a D-lis folder with a config file on the appdata>LocalLow folder. You could try deleting that folder.

Attempted this, though the issue persists. Thank you for the suggestion, though!
Hey, maybe I'll try deleting the whole D-lis folder too just so see what it breaks. Reinstalling the game shouldn't be too big an effort afterwards.
edit: it made a new d-lis folder

What are you playing on, PC, Mac or Linux?

Weird, it works fine for me on both mouse+keyboard and controller. Come to think of it, did you try starting the game with a controller hooked up via bluetooth so something?

Wouldn't be able to. Computer's not capable of bluetooth, and the only controllers I've got is two old wiimotes.
Is there supposed to be BGM on the menu screen? because if so, the lack of any leads me to think it might be a problem with my computer's programming rather than my methods of input.

No, most of the game has no music aside from boss battles and certain cutscenes so you're fine in that department. When the Unity pop up for running the game appears you said you changed the graphic quality and size correct? If so, then running it at the lowest for graphic quality should have helped for testing, no need to touch screen resolution unless the default did not fit your PC's display. For mouse and keyboard keep in mind that sometimes the WSAD keys are used for moving between options rather than the arrow keys, if you did not know/try that already. One other thing that might help is to make sure you are not running any other program in the background that eats a lot of RAM, just saying this in case you noticed any major slowdown on your PC when running the game. On that note I should also ask if this was your first time running a game built on Unity as sometimes how and what you install can cause issues with some games, not like you need to jump through hoops to get this game working but I'm just covering my bases.

I was worried about the BGM, thanks for clearing that up. Otherwise, lets go over this in order.
I've pressed every button on the keyboard from F1 to numpad enter. The game simply is not responding to keyboard commands.
I've opened the game with absolutely nothing else going on in the background - checked and doublechecked this, then closed everything non-essential in task manager.
Its the first game I downloaded off of this site, yeah, but far from the first unity game I've run on my computer. This is the only unity game thats not working, so its not the engine. I think.
Thanks for taking the time to help, its greatly appreciated.

At this point I'd try with a virtual machine. It's pretty weird.

No problem hun, still this is odd. Do you have your computer running Japanese Locale? Normally not having your locale set to japanese or running a locale emulator set to Japanese causes most issues. Just in case, what did you use to extract the game?

Like a locale emulator? I've been launching it as an admin with a japanese locale.

To extract a game, I always just right-click it and press 'extract to [folder name]', no special program for it, just what Billy Gate's blessed Windows 10 with upon its release. As for the exact emulator, I couldn't give you a name except 'locale emulator'. I know I got the name off of another post in F95, but it'd take some digging to find the post again. I can only run a japanese locale with it, but that specific restriction doesn't seem to be much of a problem.

Try using Bandizip to extract it, make sure to set it to extract Japanese. I've always used 7zip and Winrar but I had to use Bandizip for a different game, you could try it for this one just in case. I just thought of something, did you also try to run the game in compatibility mode? Honestly it sucks ass not being there physically to fix this problem.

So far as I can tell, this'd go by a lot quicker had we met in person to discuss this - but I believe I speak for the both of us when I say meeting someone over coffee to discuss a mildly popular porn game isn't one of mankind's greatest ideas.
Bandizip's a new program to me, so I couldn't figure out how to get it to extract Japanese, but as far as I figure that's what the locale emulator should rectify either way, because it does extract the garbled mess of numbers and letters that is the computer's version of japanese, and the locale emulator should translate that garbled mess back into Japanese.
For compatibility mode, I did try troubleshooting its compatibility but that didn't lead to anything significant.
I think it might be a problem with things on my end specifically, but I wouldn't be able to say specifically what. Thanks again for helping.

Haha, neither was the creation of alcohol but that worked out perfectly fine. On a serious note, did you try setting it to a different compatibility through the troubleshooter or actually set it to run on a different mode like for Windows 7 or 8? If that doesn't/didn't work then you might have to update your graphics drivers as that's the only other area I can think of at the moment that would cause such an issue.
