Is the puzzle with the xploding barrel, elevators and wooden planks broken or mis-designed? Or am I retarded? I just noticed I'd spent 45 minutes just making a lift go up and down with a barrel I can't do anything with.

You're supposed to push the barrel like you did the first time you saw an explodey barrel. Get the elevator lined up right, push the barrel until you reach a wall, blow up barrel, advance.
anyone knows whats up with the fish enemies that are mentioned in the changelog and where the hell to find them ?
I wonder if they will ever add a full nude skin don't get me wrong I love torn cloths as much as the next guy but full nude does more for me just wondering that's all

I think small fish is actually "Small fry" you know, that expresion to refer to regular enemies. That's google traslate quality for you.

Well, someone could actually hand translate the game, but that would take time and need to be redone (to some extent at least) with each update. The unity translator program is a real time machine translation (only slightly wood salad in my experience) that you can use as soon as the updates are released.
And honestly, the unity translator is almost no effort to set up and run. Copy auto translator files in (basically the drag and drop step you mention.) Run the translator setup the first time. Run the patched launcher it makes the first time. Run the game from it's standard launch after that.

I highly doubt this will fix your problem, but i had something similiar and it was because i had Citrix Installed on my PC, for some reason it was messing with unity games. Hope it helps....
