Does anyone know what the different options for slave bondage do/the most optimal times to use each option?
I had always assumed that the differences were purely cosmetic. But if you want to know for sure, I'd suggest asking on the thread for the mod for this game, where (some) people actually have access to the source code.

Version 0.88 is out, 0.90 is coming out sometime early next month seems like, but can't find a download link anywhere. 8chan's /hgg/ going down, and then not being popular once they became 8kun, has made things harder for porn game searching.

The author has started porting all the content to a new engine. As to the question though, it's simple, first time developer starts experimenting thinking to start on a relatively new software/engine hoping to ride the wave of innovation without enough know-how to discern good from bad before it's too late.

And by too late, I mean, knowing primarily that engine, they have all their skills based in that area, so they stick with it. This in turn attracts new developers who like their game(s) to try out the same engine, perpetuating the cycle. "Should know better" is presuming that they are an experienced developer, on the contrary, most adult game developers aren't veterans, and are spurred on by a variety of factors.

It's taking a long time, but if you like the game just be glad that it's being moved to html some day, you can follow the progress on his tumblr blog, and to some extent on his twitter and patreon.

Yes, but my impression is that he "started" sufficiently long ago that it becomes a question as to whether it will ever be completed. As far as I can ascertain, he started transferring his other game, Whorelock’s Revenge, in 2016. Is there any indication that a Twine version of No Haven is anything beyond vaporware?

Well, as somebody who follows the blog occasionally, I can tell you that unlike pretty much 90% of adult game developers he streams his coding live every now and then, so you can see him working on things in action. He also posts updates specifically on when and what he's working on, which is how I know that he very rarely works on whorelocks twine conversion, but works on no haven conversion relatively often.

Problem is, as a guy working on Patreon, he has to uphold the goal requirements on working on active new content which patrons have voted for. Patrons have also voted for twine conversion streams and work as well though, so he is working on it. I won't lie, it does seem like it will be a long time before the twine version is fully fledged or even functional, but it's not vaporware, and active progress is documented being made. In a year or two, there will most likely be something to show for it in my opinion, assuming he doesn't retire/disappear or go on an extended break in that timeframe.

From the creator's tumblr:

Who are these characters?
Latter is a unique, as said:

Name: Kaara de Sindero Oscuro - Female Draenei Succubus - Competent Attendant
Traits: Mind Reader - Crafter: Devices - Magic: Biomancy - Hypnotic - Depraved - Trainer - Persuasive - Leader - Seductive
Aspect: Cult Attendant (Adds an additional success to any assignment when she is accompanying you and you are assigned first. Changes this to a crit in any assignment focused on the Dawning Light such as To Hunt a Paladin and Truly Divine or when the subject being trained is of that Faith. Replaces Succubi as Unfavoured for Nethemir with Faith: The Light)

Former is the default female demi-angel human noble start character. With a gimmick about her keeping her virginity. You can also get her as a unique slave from the new Private Passage assignment if you send another former student as part of the party.

Huh. I just noticed that mind control isn't tagged for this game, nor is corruption, or... Well, the tags seem kind of sparse in general, all things considered. What else is missing? And didn't the tags used to be different? I swear I stumbled onto this game when sorting through the mind control list.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

how to fix it ?

Not exactly sure, but I sorta remember that I had to install SQL Server Compact 3.5 (or something like that) for Rags to work, so try installing/reinstalling that?

If bimbo is a tag, then add that, as that's nicely implemented and very lucrative in the game. Otherwise the tags are almost complete, though in all honesty, it also needs 'janky engine'.

No way. Looking at this list and just skimming through the "Sexual Content" section, there are a buttload of tags that apply to this game. Some are less important, like Big Tits and Big Ass, but then there's stuff like Sissification (which would admittedly scare some people off since most games with that tag don't make it optional and have it occur to the player rather than a victim), prostitution, mind control, corruption (both of the "ruin someone's morals" and "corrupt them with evil energies" varieties), tentacles, anal sex, male domination, female domination... The list goes on. Honestly, this is one of those games where you'd expect the tags listing to be enormous, but it's actually shorter than a lot of linear visual novels I've seen.

You'll have to be more specific. What version of RAGS are you using? How are you trying to open it? What happens when you try?
I downloaded the latest version, but everytime I try to use it is says the file doesn't work or something similar. Tried it in a similar program, it asked me if I was using a file from the 20th century XD

Hmm... Did you try opening RAGS first and then choosing "File -> Open a New Game", or did you just try to open it directly? Both should probably work, but you might not experience the same bug if you do it the long way. I also find that the game works better in RAGS version 2.4.16.0, which is what the developer recommends for this game, although the most recent version shouldn't be so broken as to not even open. (It does prevent you from scrolling when there are options on the screen, though, which is a major issue when trying to select slavers for assignments.)

I have had issues with opening the game at first as well, but I was never able to figure out what caused it. After trying a bunch of different methods of opening it, eventually they all just started working.

It opens the program but fails to open the game every time. It just rejects the the thing entirely
