Putting someone in the blacksmith or tailor position gives them those skills eventually. There's a quest in the ever forest called wild ride or something that gives fleet to the lead slaver on crit. Mistress of torments in the deep mountains gives a slaver trainer on success, but if you accidentally crit she makes that slaver her bitch and you can't get rid of either of them.

You can of course get agile, resilient, and strong from biomancy. Then the elf racial, hardened flesh, and mighty strength if you crit the biomancy roll.

There's a 2 person scavenging mission in the dread sea where 1 of the slavers teaches the other a trait. not sure what triggers that though.

I'm sure I've missed a bunch. Tell me if you find any more.
Haven't really found any more unfortunately, but I did compile them up nicely. If I find more I'll add them.

The traits in corruption can easily be found on the wiki, but I thought i'd list it here anyways...

Anyways, the best way to get decent slavers early I've found is to wait for the 'Disbanded!' event that gives better quality mercs at town/tavern and then scumsave going to town until you get a decent slaver and then hypnotize them into joining officially. In my experience you don't get very good quality slavers via leveling up your encampment until you've completed a certain mission. (I think it's that Reign of the Witch Queen mission or whatever it's called that improves the quality of the slavers you get from levelling up). Also something to note is that when you're recruiting mercenaries at the town/tavern, they'll likely have traits that make sense for their race. For example, Human Nobles will often have Educated/Reserved/Loner, and Orcs are more likely have Aggressive/Brutal or M: Co over other magics. Whereas if you get them from leveling a category their traits seem to have absolutely no relationship with their race from what I can tell.

And from the slavers you can get from assignments Shadriel has a pretty dope storyline involving her that can lead to an assignment linked with another unique, a slave this time. Not sure if you want it spoiled.

I can't find what you are talking about. I too have the same problem, not being able to open the game in any version of RAGS.
I think their link doesn't work for you because they have their account set to show a different number of posts per page. Try this link, which uses the default settings: https://f95zone.to/threads/no-haven-v0-945-tf-edition-bedlam-games.9229/page-72#post-5263509

If that doesn't work, just try it with the "page" part removed: https://f95zone.to/threads/no-haven-v0-945-tf-edition-bedlam-games.9229/post-5263509

anyway, the alternative is you can try to follow author's guide on his tumblr

or you can follow the guide here

In the RAGS version you can train your slavers to be better at Marauding/Infiltration/etc, can you not do that in the Regalia version?

Also, it takes forever to get you other slavers more than 1 level, and when they do get that level up, it doesn't exactly make a huge difference because all you can do is give them an extra aspect/trait. Or am I missing something?
you should loop your slaver to spec them, Aspect should be the last thing in the loop (since you need the right traits for a decent aspect). inexperienced slaver only need 250 exp to level up. you can exploit this and max their traits.

by looping, i mean enslave them whenever they level up above inexperienced, then train them to be slaver again to reset the exp reqs. skip traits you don't need.

though doing this you'd potentially waste months of play time doing only GP's trading missions xD

It's been described as doing so (displaying the wearer while also somehow protecting) since the start I think.
so it wasn't a bug? but it's kinda weird that it didn't show up in my pc, he should also have spiderwork steel
